Before we begin i'd like to quickly point out that this isn't a whine thread. Nor is it name-naming flamage, sob-story sympathy-garnering, or any other *******s i'm sure to be accused of - If you don't like my story you can **** off, frankly. Post your single rolley eyes smilie then go read something else.
I just thought that somebody somewhere might enjoy reading it - hell, even if it is just to gloat.
The names of the involved parties have been changed to protect me, frankly. Similarly i've posted with an alt since i'd be kicked out of the alliance for posting something vaguely pertaining to events in Eve. Hilariously i could also be kicked out for posting with an alt. Its all very confusing.
Anyway!
I'm a combat pilot - mining bores the snot out of me, and pretend money's never held much appeal. When i start to run low on cash i just rat until i can afford a new ship to go ahead and lose. I like flying spaceships, pretending to be Han Solo and shooting things. Mainly pretending to be Han Solo.
Sadly recent events have rather ****** with my **** and I've steadily lost a stream of ships. So steadily infact i spent every isk to my name on ships which have variously been owned, ganked, sniped, lagged and jammed clean off the face of the earth. In no time at all my jumpclones were all gathering dust in somebody else's trophy cabinet, and i was pinned down in a single system unable to go anywhere or do anything. Repeated poddings followed.
Eventually i find myself back in empire without any, well... anything. Right, noobship out. Time to start all over again. Except the circle continues and the station is perma-camped by war targets who can still fly something more powerful than a space moped and i've long run out of money to upgrade my clone beyond the freebie one. Once again, poddings followed with the added tang of SP loss.
This is pretty much where the fun stopped. Eve has become an evercise in frustration - logging on now involves staring at a station, vainly hoping that the camp waiting to claim another chunk of my SPs has gone home. They haven't - they can smell blood and are eager to test their mettle against my by now less-than-effective character.
I'm not going to sit in a station for 2 months until everybody's got bored and gone home. that's a waste of my time and money. I was playing Eve for fun, something that's dried up altogether.
And that's a nice way to finish. It rather sounds off my whole Eve adventure, don't you think? I've come to reaise there is no way to 'win' eve, all there is to do is make sure everybody else loses worse than you - and i've pretty much lost. Eve now sits idly on my shelf, alongside all the other games i've finished. It was a fun trip but the game's over.
You can gloat now. You've earned it.

If you leave your corp, who apparently do jack **** to help you, the wartargets can't hurt you and you can rebuild.

Hold on here, you are saying that you were podded in Empire by someone you were at war with and lost skillpoints being unable to afford a clone? No one to blame for that but yourself.

Do you have 9K? If you do, but a shuttle. Hop in it. hit f10, set a destination with the map. Hit your hotkey for Autopilot(I'm assuming you have one) you'll hear the autopilot engaged voice(assuming sound is on) THEN undock. your shuttle should exit, align to warp, and warp out all faster then anyone can target you.
Or simply take a few weeks off, play oblivion(hope your computer is top of the line. it made my athlonXP 2800, 1.5 gigs of ram, and nVidia 6600GT cry trying to play it. I'll wait till next year. to play oblivion) and come back in a few weeks.
this will help you out in that your adversaries should give up after a few weeks of camping a station with you not showing at all.
Ask your corp for enough to buy a basic Frigate or Cruiser. if they wont' give you that much, or help you get out of the station, I'd take the advice of others and quit your corp.

So uh, if your corp is getting raped, why not surrender somehow to them, or just go back to the NPC corp if the guys are killing your corp for some random-ass reason?

Sounds like you should leave your corp. When it gets to the point you're being slaughtered mercilessly and there is absolutely nothing you or your corp can do about it you probably want to get out of that situation.
*NOTE* No I'm not promoting leaving-a-corp-right-on-wardec, but this is the equivalent to not leaving a burning building. ________________________________________________

I can't believe you let things get that bad. If I did not have enough money for a clone, quitting my corp to rebuild is a no brainer. And I would do it promptly before undocking. What about the insurance policy on all those ships you lost? Were they 100% insured? If they were you would be hard pressed to run out of money at the rate you described.
It just seems to me that when things began to spiral downwards you made no effort to take control of the situation (leave the corp and take a breather to rebuild) and let yourself slide further into oblivion. Quite simply, I think you lost the will to play EvE and let things get this bad so it would be easier to leave the game. ----

Not exactly sure what to tell you.
The whole point of your post is to say EVE is about making people worse off than you.
Well I'd like to tell you that EVE is about whatever YOU make it, not "putting people below you."
You did say you liked to be Han Solo...so you should take up RPing =P ---

Well so long as you realize you acted in a foolish, self-defeating fashon then I've no problem with the post, or you leaving Eve. I'm also rather glad that you have nothing left as this will circumvent anyone asking for your stuff when you leave.
I hope that was adequately hostile without resorting to the vulgarity you found so neccisary in your post. Good luck, and good riddance.

3 options: 1: create an alt. go through the tutorials, do some quick combats, make up a million or two, and fund your main with enough for a new clone.
2: set clone for another station. give yourself to get away each time.
3: leave your corp. only an idiot keeps trying to fight when they're being pummeled into the ground, and you have a way out. If your alliance is that stingy not to aid you when you've fought for them, f*** 'em, I'd say. Loyalty goes both ways.
and last but not least, there is no "win" in eve, you're right in that. its what you do along the road from start to finish that matters, IMO. Move on, and look forward to rebuilding and eventually, being stronger than before. best I can suggest.

The only way to truely "loose" in eve is to give up and quit. No matter how badly you get beaten down you will always be able to recover.

If you don't like the disclaimer, don't post in the thread.
OP: As others have said, your best bet is to leave the corp and begin anew. Ask for handouts if you absolutely have to. Friends are important in EVE; they're (hopefully) people that can help you pick yourself up when you've fallen.
If you're not dead-set on quitting EVE, then good luck on your rebuilding. ~~~

The whole point is that you can destroy a corporation/alliance.
Like when a guerilla unit gets stomped by overwhelming forces, its members escape, go into hiding, reorganize, recruit new members, and continue the struggle.
The stuggle is there, waiting to be picked up again.

Who died and made this guy a moderator?
Anyways, i've been dealing with my own interest issues. I think the oblivion idea is a good one. Maybe keep training your character for a month or so and if the love hasn't returned well... sniff. Its over.

either that, or hes not the brightest bulb in the box...second it gets to the point that you cant afford a new clone you should leave your corp to rebuild joining again at a later date....or never rejoining if they cant even give you enough isk for a clone...but in all honesty seeing your attitude at the start of the post...you deserve it _____ This is a Stain Alliance Fighter. to the OP: as it was stated before - loyality works both ways ... a corp/alliance which doesn't care for its members deserves to be left alone ___________________

This story actually sounds like what a WoW playing acquaintance keeps insisting will eventually happen to all EvE players. I figured he was just justifying his playing of a game with no penalty and almost no reward for pvp.
