One of PIE's Templars brought this up. Does it belong to an Amarr corp we do not recognize? Does it have any meaning? Or is it just a pretty little design on the armor to fill space on what would otherwise be a boring one color piece?
I bet it is the latter but if any info can be dug up or even a CCP response I would appreciate it.
Edit: and if you cant guess what I am talking about it is on his wrist bottom left of the pic. "There will be neither compassion nor mercy; Nor peace, nor solace For those who bear witness to these Signs And still do not believe." - The Scriptures, Book of Reclaiming 25:10 |

Hmm. Looking at it, it doesn't resemble any of the Amarr corporate insignia. It's got a fairly conventional, "oooh! spiky tribal badass!" look to it, but it also doesn't match up with any of the Minmatar corporate logos I can think of.

Looking through the NPC Merc company logos, it doesn't seem to match anything in the latest round of images. I'd guess it's really just a decorative bit along the armor; I'd be interested to know it, say, a Caldari Heavy would have a similar marking. I'm a little teapot, short and stout. |

Well, first looking at it, it is obviously from a commando suit. The Commando suit was introduced in the uprising 1.2 patch some time ago, as the first suit that could use 2 light weapons, rather than a light/heavy and a sidearm. Quite the advantage in certain situations.

My guess, is, according to the above link, that since the suit was originally designed to be for the Amarr military, that the symbol is just an extension of the suit's decor. The Amarr are known for their love of decorating their equipment, and so it could simply be an extension of that, since there is no known NPC corp with that as a logo.
That's just my take on it. Fide et honore.

Since we don't have an example (to my knowledge) of the Templar sigaldry (the first-gen Amarr DUSTers), I would venture a guess in that direction. + Cardinal Graelyn + Owner/Operator, "The Summit" Amarr Loyalist of the Year --áYC113 |
