- I warp to a bookmark of a wormhole. A bookmark I know is good because I've used it before - Wormhole isn't there. - I scan down a new wormhole sig in system. - It's not a new wormhole. It goes to the system the other hole did. The other end is in the same place within the system, and thus already bookmarked. The hole is EOL.
The only conclusion I can make is that somehow the end of the wormhole in my system moved. Why is it moving ?
So far I've seen it happen twice, both within the past week. Both times to the system static. |

Problem is, the sig ID also changes without downtime happening. |

We've had the opposite of this. One of our statics respawned in the same place, but went to a totally different system. |

Wormholes do take time to respawn (not the word I want to use but can' think of another one.) after DT so they can take a couple of minutes to reappear. But they end up in the same spot, give or take a few metres. If it's a completely separate grid, well, yah I'd say BM shenanigans. |

That happens when the wormhole times out when the server is down over DT. It can't generate a new co-ordinate location so it uses the last one it had. |

The wormhole was in one place. As in I warped to it.
Then, a few hours later, with no downtime in between, it was on a different grid with a different sig ID.
Shenanigans don't explain the sig ID changing. |

We've Had Similar Last few days. Dt expiry but not moving is old and expected. We've also had the same hole Colapse reopen to the same system 3 times now in the last 24hrs hoping dt fixes it.

I kinda wish my WH had a 24h WH so I can wait till a super short DT and open the WH then, thus making it so it always opens in the same spot so I can surround it with bubbles except for a thin tunnel through to it when warping from the POS. If someone actually does this, please for Bob's sake post about in on the forums.
As for the moving WH, dunno mate. My money is still on bookmark shenanigans. Maybe you had a loop via a k162 and someone before you named the BM's wrong or something. I've done that a couple of times and gone wtf. |

I've seen hole renewing during mid-day. How else can explain that I orbit a WH which was deep EOL and when back from a while beeing afk still remaining in the same Orbit around the hole but the hole refreshed itself and connect self to another system. To bad I missed that refresh, I wonder if that had a cinematic or not.

I imagine it'd be less exciting that you think. Hole dissipates, new hole spawns with a pop. Can you hear them? They are calling to us. It is beautiful. http://thegreattichim.wordpress.com/ |

That happens if the wormhole respawns during downtime.

You unlock this door with the key of imagination. Beyond it is another dimension - a dimension of sound, a dimension of sight, a dimension of mind. You're moving into a land of both shadow and substance, of things and ideas. You've just crossed over into the Twilight Zone. |

About two months ago, we had an experience where our static did not roll, but suddenly the wormhole was no longer where we bookmarked it. The sig ID was even still the same--it had literally just changed places. Its rare, but I'm convinced that wormholes, even when we don't think they act like they are intended, actually do--I don't think the math is as solid as we lead ourselves to believe it is. http://imgur.com/yEQqAeb |

i can confirm this happens, i had a wormhole scanned and bookmarked, but when i warped to it about 10 hours later or so it was gone and i figured i might find a more convienent exit from the static high, but it turned out to be the same location on the other side, it had just moved positions inside jspace |

The common denominator in all of these 'odd occurances' is that the involved victims are using Siggy. I've given you the dots, just draw the line. |

Oh and cut the 'connect the dots' BS. You just accused Siggy of somehow being able to influence the Eve servers. Please back that up with some evidence. That evidence would include details on how. Not just the evidence of a correlation. Correlation does not equal causation. |
