would be nice if they added a sub class slightly smaller less skill intensive. so that people can have fun with them. So far the thorax and vexor are nice bootleg versions and so is the domi but it would be nice to see a light version like a small assualt carrier.
Make it require BC//cruiser 5 n such would be something to play around with considering the high demand of newplayers in the game wanting them. Im sure it won't even matter but i figured id drop the idea in and see what people say

no need for a small carrier ,actual carriers are gimpy and need a boost though :| ,they take more skill req's than a dread but suck alot more lol

The only things that are really gimped (I own and fly one) are non-combat related. They are more bugs than the ship being under/over-powered. I admit the minmatar carrier's bonuses suck, but hey, that's why I'm not minmatar.
The carrier is more skill intensive than the one-trick-pony dreadnaught because it's far far more useful in a great number of ways. I would LOVE to see them give me more scan resolution though. 37 (modded by skills) is rediculous on a ship that size.

actually the carrier isn't more skill intensive. don't forget the dreadnought also needs:
Advanced Weapon Upgrades 5 Tactical Weapon Reconfiguration
Large Turret 5/Capital Turret 1 and/or Torpedoes 5/Citadel Torpedoes 1

personally I hope the Gallente Tier 2 BC will be in essence a mini-carrier... much like the vexor is a mini-dominix.

those arent skill req's to be able to pilot the ship though, i mean just the basic skill req's to be able to actually jump inside one.
with a noob char it would take: 278 days to be able to jump inside a carrier 207 days to jump inside a dread thats the time just counting the basic skills you need, not counting skills to fit modules

If someone flys a dread without a seige mod or capital weaps he deserves to eject and let a good pilot in it. ---------------------------

that isnt the point, the actual ship takes more skill to fly. mods and ship are not the same, and i could bring up a bunch of skills carriers pilots are going to need doesnt make them suddenly become pre req's on the ships info

were talking ships here not modules so quit with the sarcastic replys noobs. if thats the only way you can discuss things then go play wow does having cap guns on a dread change the actual ship stats apart from dmg output? no so stop beeing so anal about it.
if mods think anal is only has one meaning go look it up in the dictionary and wave your ban stick elsewhere.

Woudln't be a bad idea....but as of now the existing carriers are pretty much mini marriers. My carrier is smaller then some battleships out there Definatley could use more hit points, not enough capacitor ... 900cpu and 651,000 power grid (apporx numbers nt in game now) seem balanced to you... have to use damn co-proc on the mighty capital ship and only using 12% of power grid..lol.. ok geting of topic sorry. Mini carriers is not a bad idea, but more thought needs to be put in it, what role would they have Aspen, besides being mini?
