With the introduction of the bastion module, CCP have proven they are willing to add siege / triage modes beyond the capital class. With that in mind, I propose a buff to logistics cruisers by giving them their own triage module, which I name Triage Jr.
Triage Jr would operate similar to a normal triage module on a carrier, except it would only have a 1 minute cycle. It would give significant bonuses to repair amount, range, capacitor, and local reps.
Yes, local reps. This is a buff to small gang warfare! Normally, a fleet logi doesn't fit anything but buffer tank, however with a good bonus to local reps it would be worthwhile to fit a local tank for smaller engagements in the same way you'd use a triage carrier in a small fleet.
Naturally, the triage penalties would be intact. Things are only impossible until they are not. |

One of the things you're overlooking is carriers and dreads have huge Everything values.
A cruiser can be neuted dry with a handful of heavy neuts. It also only has a moderate buffer. This idea is not functional on that ground. Even with a capacitor recharge bonus, to be able to survive neuts+ recharge enough to perma run reps, you'd have to fit like a carrier... cap fit... which can be alpha'd in a few volleys. Or else fit tank so you can survive alpha, but then not rep for more than a few cycles. Logi are already pretty tough. Not much of a change is needed. The Law is a point of View |

I agree with the above poster. It would be difficult to make this module worth using on a cruiser because of reasons. |

That's a good point, I was hoping the short triage cycle would compensate. Perhaps some kind of additional bonus to improve their chances, such as a significant sig radius reduction? Or maybe a temporary boost to base capacitor? Things are only impossible until they are not. |

T1 logi cruiser are already overkill for the price they cost.
a duo or trio of t1 cruiser fitted with T2 module can greatly improve your chance in a fight for less than 20m isk for each ship.
you dont need more capacitor on these ship they have plenty, if you do then you dont fit them as they should, watch the bonus for the osprey and you'll find that a trio of osprey can equal a duao of basilisk because 3 T1 logi with energy transfer is harder to neut than 2 T2 logi.

I was imagining this module for Tech 2 cruisers only, which are actually called Logistics Ships. Things are only impossible until they are not. |

Even for T2 logi i dont see how this would improve the pvp fight.
Bring 2 logi to any pvp encouter and you can fight against twice your number if the other side dont have logi so...
and a triage module means you can't receive any rep from other logi wich in turn makes your ship very vulnerable.
Remote rep is always better than local rep, logi dont need local rep.

It works fine for small gang encounters involving carriers, basically allowing that carrier to rep significant amounts of incoming damage while assisting the fleet. It's an asymmetric warfare tactic. It will become less useful the larger the fight gets, just like carrier triage. Things are only impossible until they are not. |

Triage Nestor! What a use for a useless ship! Anyways, it would have at least a battleship capacitor, making it possible to manage locally entirely as opposed to the cruiser sized cap. |

But the core strength of Logi is it's small sig, high resists, mobility, and ability to withstand tons of damage under reps.
A single triage is limited. 3 guardians are far superior in survivability to a single triage carrier. Triage carriers also work best in groups of 2-4, cycling who is in and out of triage and being capped up, etc. A single triage CAN rep alot... but a hard point and some neuts and it will die, where guardians can and have(experienced these fights myself) survived 9 geddons all trying to keep up and neut them. A triage carrier has 0 chance against 4 geddons.
The concept is cool. I get what you're trying to do. But I also have flown both logi and triage and t1 logi cruisers, t1 logi frigs, RR BS.....
Having a module that locks a ship that relies on mobility for half it's tank is not effective.
Now if you wanted triage T2 BS.... like there are T2 Siege BS..... THAT could get entertaining :P The Law is a point of View |

How about T2 versions of the former Tier 3 battleships, intended to be used with this kind of module?
Yes yes, they'd be big and expensive and slow but they'd be mini-carriers (of a sort) to match with our sort-of mini-dreads. |

This
That way their is a clear progression in size cost effectiveness and durability of logistics frig -> cruiser -> logistic cruiser -> logi BS -> carrier -> super carrier
Honestly I would like to see carriers split into a pure capital logistics ship and a pure anti-subcap fighter/drone weapons ship, but I know carrier pilots everywhere would have an aneurysm. |

We have these ships. They're called Supercarriers. They used to be called Motherships and were originally intended to be omfgwtfbbq hardcore logistics. That didn't entirely materialize because one of the core aspects of their design is currently literally impossible. Right now they don't actually have a unique function of their own, they're just a bigger version of Carriers. They'd be perfect for this idea of yours. |

Augoror and Guardian with their capacitor transfer ability it makes them pretty hard to break without ECM. |
