Hello kids, as the title says, I would like to propose a deployable structure that would greatly improve the lives of those in non-stationed nullsec and wormhole space.
Without further adieu, -- the Mobile Market Array
Like the ESS, it cannot be placed around stations, gates, POSs, or otherwise; Also, only one can be anchored per system. It does create a warpable beacon to the entire system.
It creates a virtual market, where players can load items or ships into it and create sell orders AND contracts. These sell orders WILL be visible to anyone in the region (or just the system for WH space) and the cargo/ship bays are accessed similarly to that of customs offices. (each character has a personal hangar.)
The operator CAN set permissions on who can access the MMA and use its fitting service, but they cannot restrict the use of the market and contracts, as it will be effectually a station in the asset tab.
The operator CAN set sales tax (up to 25%) on the MMA's market.
So, functionally,
It is an outpost in which you cannot dock,
the operating alliance & friends may access the storage of, and use the fitting service, (or it can be set openly.)
anyone may buy items off of; hostiles could enter your system, clean up your ridiculously overpriced market, but not access it until they destroy the MMA.
has a 24hr reinforcement timer, during which time the market and contracts work, but the hangars and bays don't.
A good alliance is a well-supplied alliance, and what better way to simplify logistics than to give a conflict-driving beacon whereabouts business is done!? :D |

I'm almost completely sure it was shot down mercilessly.
I'm reasonably sure it was then torn to pieces.
You may want to consider searching to see for yourself.
It has been, however the player provided reasons were all bullsh*t and worthless, however the dev given reason was more valid at the time. (The code is too damn old.) Which is CCP's answer to every essential feature the game needs but is too lazy to implement. Sooner or later, they gotta fix the legacy crap to go forward. |
