But I've been accused, not only by the trolls, but by CCP itself practically, of just whining about my ship loss because I need to learn to play. The burden of proof is all on my apparently. I can't disprove any accusation. But neither can CCP.
So all I have to do is say, CCP created the bastion module to cause the loss of marauders. They intentionally disconnect players who are using the bastion module, in the hopes that they will lose their ships, and likely buy at least 2 PLEXs to replace their losses. Well that was easy. And it makes total sense from their point of view. Of course they would deny such an accusation. I hope they see how it feels..
Captain, this thread is holding at paranoia factor 5.2 .
I know you're just a troll, but it's important you understand why I said that. CCP won't reimburse my loss because they don't know why I lost connection with them. But they know I lost connection. They have a financial incentive to not reimburse, after all I could just be a sore loser. The accusation is that it was probably my fault. Well, anyone can make accusations. |

I already paid it back and have enough to replace it upon losing it. Proof of lying in thread.

Especially the forum-trolling ship spinners who may have actual complaints about the game, if they did something other than spin their ships. We all know bad things happen when you undock, it's much safer to not. But forum trolling is easy, fun and you get that attention that your father never gave you, which is nice.
But there are those of us who actually undock and do things in the game, and when we run into issues that really impact the gaming experience, like losing your best ISK making ship through no fault of your own, and not having it reimbursed like any other game in the MMO market would do, yea, we like to bring attention to it.
Whawhaa, I stopped reading this thread right at that post. Go back to whatever MMO, ships lose is something that *does* happen in EVE. Clearly Eve is not for you where you win some and on occasions lose more. It's a game where you're SUPPOSED to lose the ships you fly. Even if in your case it wasn't (partially) your fault, you petitioned, got a reply and now have to deal with it. Suck it and move on, and stop acting like a big baby.

This is yet another example of someone who didn't take the time to learn how the game works and is now mad at the game because of their own ignorance. Sadlly, this is all too common among the high sec PVE (except incursion runners) crowd because high sec pve (unlike PVP and PVE outside of high sec) doesn't expose players to real EVE game mechanics until a loss like this happens. At least high sec incursions expose players to some amount of danger that requires learning the mechanics. If you fly a marauder, have your bastion module set to repeat, do not have a cap stable tank AND then you D/C, you will lose your ship unless you are able to log back in very quickly. The very very simple defense to this is a cap stable tank. I've DC'd several times in my medium deadspace shield boosted Vargur (cap stable). At one point I remained disconnected for 30 minutes and was able to log back in and my ship was still there tanking the rats in Angel Pirate Invasion. 100 mil for a A pithum C type medium shield booster (or a medium or large C type armor repper on an armor tanked ship) is a small investment to save a billion isk ship. Put the blame where it belongs, on your ignorance, not the game. Jenn Awhine, as ever, blaming hi-sec folk, for, well stuff...

I enver blamed high sec people for anything, i commented that too many high sec pve people (except incursion runners) don't get to know the games mechanics because High Sec doesn't expose them to it unlike pvp (everywhere) and non-high sec pve. Sorry if that insults your highsec sensabilities lol. |

If they changed the rules people could abuse the system by forcing disconnect when they know they might face trouble. Just FYI, posting of ticket responses on the forum is against the rules.

She's right though it is highsec's fault and the only solution is to nerf highsec. This post was loving crafted by a member of the Official GoonWaffe recruitment team. Dude, it was a couple billion isk at the most. You can make it back in 15 minutes of real life work and buy a plex or two. Or you can get back in whatever ship you still have and get back out there and mine missions or whatever it is you were doing. I lost a 4 billion isk missioning ship because I was too lazy to click "show info" on a corp (well, I just forgot). **** happens. And realistically if you're not scrammed a marauder has plenty of time to warp out without dying.
I am actually very happy with their recent[?] changes to log off mechanics. That you recall drones, and your modules run til your cap is dead not just to the end of the cycle. If you're super lazy like me you can DC, and sit in your mission til the end of time because you have a cap stable tank rather than having a bigger tank and pulsing. All these new timers to stop you logging off to save your ship are really good game mechanics.
I somewhat agree insurance should be a little better for tech 2 hulls. That 4 bil ship I lost the payout was like 80mil. Didn't really send me leaping toward another did it? |

I lose a 1.1 billion isk ship because the game disconnected from the servers in the middle of a level 4, the ship doesn't warp out and gets destroyed. I get this ticket...
Greetings,
We are sorry to hear about your loss.
I have reviewed this case thoroughly and I regret to inform you that I will sadly be unable to offer you reimbursement for your lost ship. There is simply no evidence in our server-side logs to warrant reimbursement in this case. As far as we are concerned, it seems like your client was disconnected from our server shortly before the ship loss happened, but I am afraid that we are unfortunately unable to determine the cause of the account having been disconnected. There were no server issues at the time which would have caused the account to have been disconnected from our end, so this could have happened due to a myriad of reasons, such as localized ISP problems. It however did not happen due to a server problem on our end.
We simply cannot offer reimbursement unless we have verification in our server-side logs that the loss was caused due to a server issue or a bug, so I will sadly have to deny this reimbursement claim. I am sorry that there wasn't more I could do for you regarding this matter. Thank you for your understanding.
Yea, I don't understand. The game is designed to warp me out if I get disconnected, but that obviously didn't happen. This is ridiculous.
Hm, I was going to troll you out of your trousers, but I had a change of heart.
I'm going to assume you were warp scrambled or disrupted. Your ship will not warp away even if you are loged out/disconnected if you are scrambled or disrupted. Of course, this does not entitle you to a reimbursement, since not all disconnects are CCP's fault. If their logs show nothingGäó, then the most likely culprit could be between your computer, and every hub/relay that routes your connection to the server.
Now I'm going to assume that your fit could not take sustained fire for 5 minutes. If that's the case, it's your own fault for having such a **** fit. All modules remain in the same state they were when you loged out. If your tank was off, it's your fault for not turning it on.
As the age old saying goes, don't fly what you can't afford to lose. This is as nice as I get. Best quote ever https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=4137165#post4137165 |
