Hello,
After 4 months of not seeing any new donation and considering I am paying a subscription just for that fund, I have put the VAERT charity into freeze status.
All those who are eligible to claim the donation drive shirts please send me an EvE mail by April 20.
In order to be eligible you have to have donated to the appropriate fund as specified in the above linked thread. Auditing | Collateral holding and insurance | Consulting | PLEX for Good Charity

I don't know. The fund fulfilled its purpose in great style, helped push CCP into the last PLEX for Good drive and contributed a great deal to it. Given that VV had to wait more than two years and suffer a load of admin burdens to unload the last batch of donations it is fully understandable that he would take the opportunity for an honourable close to the fund at this point. I see the whole thing as a high point of my time in eve and see a successful close as an opportunity for backslapping and congratulations rather than sadness.
On the other hand, it would be nice if someone else picked up the baton and ran with it now. I'm rather tempted myself ... |

Hello, Friend,
The thread title says "freeze" not "closure".
This means I am not going to rage-delete the VAERT account, just to keep it inactive and save me RL money and accounting time until I see interest in it again.
So, hope is not lost, it's just put into hybernation Auditing | Collateral holding and insurance | Consulting | PLEX for Good Charity

That for a while I won't manage the fund. If someone comes out with a very sensible donation like RAW23 did in the past then I may follow it again. I'd have to be notified about it, as the related account will be inactive. Auditing | Collateral holding and insurance | Consulting | PLEX for Good Charity

Are you entitled to have one, that is are you in the requisites I posted in the VAERT thread? If you are I shall send you one.
But please do it quick, i have received the warning expiration mail 4 days ago (it gives 6 days iirc). Auditing | Collateral holding and insurance | Consulting | PLEX for Good Charity

VV, I've maintained my VAERT sister fund CSGAMEZCF013 for about 3 years, but am thinking of closing it.
During the last charity drive I realized that I wanted to donate all my assets to charity, the fund being just a small part of it. Thus for the next drive I'll just liquidate as many assets as possible and donate it all.
The NAV of the fund is currently ISK 485,985,606.43. Maybe I can send this money to you to keep for the next drive, and thus officially end this 3 year long experiment where I started with 500m and kept reinvesting the money, and managed to donate 1 PLEX to the Japan drive and 13 to Philippines. Any colour you like. |

Hello friend,
you have been incredibly loyal to the charity ideals and incredibly resilient over the years about keeping proper accounting about it.
Said this, I am not sure to be the best recipient for that ISK. I am doing many things in RL and they are potently compressing my time to play computer games. I am not sure where I could be 1 year from now, much less 3-4 (I hope more, as the charity is needed in really bad situations!).
The time I took a pause from the game I sent my charity ISK to Chribba, he's kind of the "ever lasting institution" if there is one in EvE. You could do the same, he has a soft spot for Donors and charities and could hold them more securely than I could do.
It's been a great honor playing with you. Auditing | Collateral holding and insurance | Consulting | PLEX for Good Charity

Sorry to hear you may not be around for long, VV. It was fun maintaining this fund and sending you updates. Hopefully you'll continue to find time for Eve in the future, and I'll have the honour and pleasure of continuing to play with you.
As I am totally addicted to the game, and plan to be around till I die or Eve dies, I think I may hang on to this money. Instead of maintaining this as a separate fund, I'll just reinvest this money with my own, with the pledge that I'll donate this (and everything else I can) to charity when the time comes.
So please consider this fund (CSGAMEZCF013) closed. Any colour you like. |
