This should be easy to implement because you are only changing a color code.
Change the overload status light from being a bright green against green, so that when it is overloaded it is Orange, or Red.
I was also thinking maybe have both. Have it be Orange when it's primed to overload, and red when it is functioning overloaded.
Then at a glance we would know that:
Green = Normal Orange = Primed for Overload Red = Overloaded |

I like the idea of a different colour for primed, but I definitely agree that green over green is a bad idea for the overload
tell you what - let us set our own colours for overload status: option 1 (not overloaded, but can be) - option 2 (primed for overload, but module inactive) - option 3 (module overloaded and cycling) - option 4 (heat damage circle) -
these would be editable via: ESC menu > general settings > module overload colours (to go under where we currently have 'Inflight')
since this would be a purely clientside change, it shouldn't kill the hampsters, and hopefully shouldn't take too many man-hours to produce. For posting an idea into F&I: come up with idea, try and think how people could abuse this, try to fix your idea - loop the process until you can't see how it could be abused, then post to the forums to let us figure out how to abuse it..... If your idea can be abused, it WILL be. |

+1, but only if colors can be set in the options menu as Xe'Cara'eos suggested. I'm colorblind and I hate red+green combos :) |
