I've been running missions for agents over the last week in my destroyer. When I moved from tier 1 to tier 2 missions I noticed that both my ISK reward and the amount of faction respect I earned did not change. Is that the way it is, or did I just have bad luck? |

It did change. Not sure why you didn't notice it. |

I noted them before and after each mission and logged the changes. The T1 13 and 4 T2 missions I did for them did not yield any change in reward. On average in T1 I earned 75k ISK whilst Tier 2 I grossed 56k (Probably netted -20k due to how many missiles I have to use) |

A typical level 4 security mission rewards around 1.1 million ISK, with bounties being highly variable depending on the missions, but 10 million ISK or more for bounties isn't unusual. |

Add module drops and salvage on top of that if you bother to loot. this. as far as i am aware, a well skilled character can earn as much as 50 million per hourin lvl3 missions. lvl4 missions can net twice that again.

Be aware that rewards are highly variable from mission type to mission type, even in a tier. I've had some lvl 3 missions have rewards of 500k plus a time bonus of 500k, and others only give 200k with a time bonus of 100k. The mission rewards aren't even across a level, they will vary based on the 'difficulty' of the mission. What will change, is the level of compensation of that same mission, at different levels. So Mission A at lvl 1 will earn less than mission A at lvl 2, but Mission A at lvl 1 may earn the same as mission B at lvl 2.
Basically, depends not only on level, but the mission as well.

I have also seen this in the loot/salvage, most missions against the serpentis or the 'big 4' give about a million in loot, but I got a blood raider mission and hauled out about 6mil. |

Regarding faction, the closer you get to 10.0 the slower you're going to gain faction.
Higher tier missions generally give a larger jump in faction, but it's a percentage gain so it's likely not going to be much more impressive in absolute terms.
Say L1 missions give 5% faction and L4 give 10% (not the actual numbers, they're much smaller and vary by mission). At 0.0 faction you complete a mission so you get 5% of the difference between where you are and 10.0, so your faction increases by 0.5. Later, you unlock L4 missions, and succeed at one, but since you're starting out at 5.0 standing (the minimum for L4 missions) you're getting an increase of 0.5 still, even though your listed reward has doubled.
As for the isk reward, you just got some weird luck pulling some of the higher-reward L1s followed by low-reward L2s. In the upper tiers, the primary mission rewards are loot and LP anyhow, not the direct isk. |

In level 4 missions, here's what you can expect (assuming you run them from Apanake, a 0.5 system with an agent for the Sisters of EVE, who are generally the most profitable faction to mission for):
- Agent Reward: ~0.8m ISK average - 2-6 hour time bonus: ~0.8m average - Loyalty Points: ~5000 average. A shrewd trader can turn this into 12 million ISK or so by choosing the right items to purchase with it. - Bounties, assuming just the minimum safe number of kills: Varies a lot, but usually ~3 million - Bounties, assuming you slaughter everything: Average 10m - Loot, assuming you put in just a minimal effort in looting (drop an MTU at the start of each pocket, then open it when you are ready to leave the pocket and cherry-pick good items): 2m per mission average - Loot, assuming you take *everything*: 5m per mission average. Getting this usually involves dropping an MTU in each pocket, bookmarking it, then returning after the mission and collecting all MTUs and all loot. - Salvage, assuming you salvage everything: 2m per mission.
L5 missions up the LP significantly, but also require you to run missions for less profitable corporations and to exercise lowsec operational security.
For L1 to L2, IIRC the ISK payouts are similar, but it's bounty payouts and LP payouts that increase the most. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=326497 --áPsychotic Monk for CSM! https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=238931 - an idea for a new form of hybrid PVE/PVP content. As a very good approximation of standings, if you run a bunch of missions and the % standing increases add up to 100%, those missions with bring you to 6.3 + 0.37*(your old standings). So if you are at -1.03 corp-to-player standings with Federal Intelligence Office and run 20 missions that are 3% standings increases and 10 missions that at 4%, you'll be at (about) (6.3 + 0.37*(-1.03)) which is about 5.9.
If you run missions that add up to a different amount than 100%, instead this formula will (approximate) your standings change:
Factor = 0.3679 ^ (standings sum/100%) (if you have a maths background, you might notice 0.3679 is 1/e) New Standing = (10 - 10x Factor) + Factor * (Old Standing)
From a strategic point of view, the best "standings sum per hour" comes from doing level 3 missions with high skills and ignoring all non-essential kills. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=326497 --áPsychotic Monk for CSM! https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=238931 - an idea for a new form of hybrid PVE/PVP content. Is there anything that needs to be done actively to collect bounties?
Sometimes I see my wallet go up randomly, some time after a mission, but it doesn't seem like it happens all the time and when I've looked at bounties that I see on ships I'm attacking, it seem like maybe bounty amounts should be larger. But I admit I haven't watched closely and it could be that my intuition is just a reflection of greed. |

Every 15 minutes, you will receive a payout for all bounties earned from NPC kills in the preceeding 15 minutes. It's slightly delayed.
If your 15 minute 'tick' exceeds 100000 ISK, your corporation's tax will also apply automatically.
Bounties increase *dramatically* when you start killing bigger NPC ships. A frigate will be bountied at 3k-30k (30k for elite ones that warp scramble, have low sigrad, move fast and do serious damage). A battleship will be bountied at 250k-1.3m. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=326497 --áPsychotic Monk for CSM! https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=238931 - an idea for a new form of hybrid PVE/PVP content.
