Make sure that you are in the destination station. (I don't recall if you might have to move it from your hold into the item hanger, I don't do couriers very often at all.)
Open the mission & press the complete button when you in are in the station.
Edit: Also make sure that you brought the cargo with you... It's surprisingly easy to forget to load it in the first place. I think they added a reminder about that now, though. |

thank you both it worked. I did move it to the on shore item hold and then talked to the agent and it completed. I had to return to the origiinal station to resume the chain of tutorial missions...but it all worked out. thanks so much.
they need to place that info INTO the tutorial. It would take only a moment and it would really help. I guess i will do a revised tutorial overview for NOOBS like me and pass it into the EVE high command. it is easy to forget the basics that are needed...tho i understand the positive side to forcing us to learn on our feet.
thanks again for the answers that was very nice of you both. |

thanks again for the answers that was very nice of you both. I like how you come to the forums and ask questions and I like your general attitude regarding the game.
But I don't understand, what might be so hard here. Obviously you have to talk to an agent in order to complete your mission. You did what the agent was asking for. And you have learned, how to complete a mission by now. So the most obvious thing of the world at that stage would be to open the agent window and just have a look. You'd find your agent ready to talk to you.
Regarding mission items, it doesn't matter anymore, whether you leave them in your cargohold or move them to the station hangar. Previously it was required, that mission items were in the station hangar, in order to complete a mission. But this has been changed quite a while ago. Back then you got an error message, that your mission item could not be found, so you knew you had to move it.
And yes, usually you have to return to your agents location to get the next mission. But that's not always the case. There are missions, that can be completed in space. There are also missions, that can be accepted at distance, even in space, right after completing one there. Sometimes, agents tell you, that you can do this and sometimes they don't.
I like to figure out this kind of things by myself. I believe, that there is a limit to handholding. But of course, ymmv. Remove insurance. |

Newbies are taught that after the mission objective is achieved the mission is completed by opening a conversation with the agent and clicking 'Complete Mission'.

No. Enhancement.
A while back the mission item had to be in the station hanger. Then it was changed so it could be in the station hanger or in the active ship's main cargo bay.

Just be aware that mining agents haven't been told about ore holds yet, so if you're doing mining missions you still need to move that load of ore you just mined into the station hangar.

I just thought of another issue that lines up with that one:
The Miasmos has two holds. One small cargo hold that will carry anything and much larger hold just for carrying ore. If you use the Miasmos either to do a jet can theft, or just a more legitimate emptying of an ore jet can to assist miners, without opening both windows then only the small cargo hold will be filled. The ore hold will not receive any ore from the jet can and you will get a message saying there is no space left in the hold/s.
Sounds like a small task for CCP to fix maybe. |
