I've tried everything resetting my router, contacting my isp, contacting eve support, port forwarding, using the repair tool, uninstalling the game, disabling my firewall, and i'm at a loss i just don't know what to do. Yes i do have game time 49 days left thanks to not even being able to get on the game at all, besides when i went to a friends house to make this character so i can post. The problem im having is whenever i try to login it either say's the connection to the server has been failed and closed, or i get the invalid token received from launcher i don't know what to do anymore, if anyone can help me i'd appreciate it i want to play the game already. Here is my most recent ping plotter if anyone needs it, please someone help me. Ping Plotter (Recent) |

You don't need to port forward EVE. Port forwarding is only for incoming connections, not outgoing.
I was having horrible problems for a while, and I eventually narrowed it down to my router. I replaced that with a direct connection to my VDSL modem, and all the problems went away. I discovered that my router has known issues
Some ISPs, especially on university campuses, do evil stuff like block port 26000 because it is used for games. You can change the port, and see if that helps. |

Before I went through all this I'd make sure it was my connection and not something in my computer causing the problem. Have you tried taking your computer to your friend's house and connecting? If you can't connect from your friend's house, it is probably not your router or ISP, it could be proxy settings or something on your computer. The good news though is that whatever the problem is is probably something you can fix. Where ISP and router problems might be beyond your control.
Are you using a VPN? Some VPNs work fine with Eve others seem to never work. Also, I've had problems running Eve alongside some torrent programs. Just putting it out there in case you are doing some major downloads. not sure if its my computer or not but anyways i was talking to some friends and they told me that my router doesnt have a DMZ option not sure what that is, oh well i ordered a router and it should be here by tomorrow not sure if thats a problem or not. i have no way of knowing if its my computer or not i just know that i portforwarded the ports and it still says that the ports are closed so idk i've been trying to play for 2 days already and eve support doesnt reply. i also tried using the VPN yourfreedom and it didnt work, i'm not sure what the problem is and don't know anyone who has had this sort of problem before so if anyone can shed some light hit me up, or if you want to teamviewer and see if u can help just let me know. |

Plug directly into your internet connection and bypass the router. If it fix, junk the router. If it don't fix, then it's ISP or firewall related. |

Read through the thread quickly, looks like either a software firewall or the router messing stuff up. Likely the latter, though.
If possible, you can have a friend come over with a laptop and a router. Plug the second router on your PC and see if it works. If it still doesn't work, plug the second laptop on to the second router. If it still doesn't work, it would appear there's something wrong with your service provider. If not, you've at least narrowed down the cause of the issue. www.minerbumping.com |

What the first reply is saying is most likely true, ISP's are going from US to EU through the same pipe.
The actual issue here is that your ISP does not want to pay premium for a functional connection to EU, they rely on the cheapest option where everyone uses the same single line. Think of it like deciding to take the car with 100 000 000 other people down a single-lane road instead of using a helicopter to go from A to B. |

I hate to mention it, personally I had problems with it before on EVE; but check into grabbing a free test run of BattlePing might help. Its an comp program that helps with connection latency/hops. It basically re-routes the connection. I may be able to bypass the jumps giving you trouble. (I assume it isn't against EVE TOS but I dont know for sure). |

Ei mate, sorry that you are in a pickle here, and I am sure you must feel you have tried everything.
I would like to ask you the following :
- Have you tried another computer while using your home connection ? - Could you send a Dxdiag? - Have you tried Safe mode with networking ? (given it is win7, most of the others don-t like that) - Are you able to ping EvE servers/website? - Did you try reinstalling/repairing the game client ? - Do you have any proxy configured, or manual IP inserted ? - What firewall and Anti-virus are you using ?
If you are uncomfortable sharing this info on a public post, send me a private message. |
