Ive read the forums and I googled a lot. I was unable to find the answer I was looking for, so I thought I'd just ask.
Ive trained a ton of gunnery skills and a ton of Caldari ship skills.
The dilemma im faced with is how to utilize what I have trained already.
The L4 ships Im seeing for Caldari involve missiles. I havent trained a single missile skill. I also see different races ship choices, I have zero skills trained for those.
So basically im asking which ships I can use on Caldari that can use Gunnery Skills and clear L4s fast.
Ive been playing eve for a bit but not actively;y i was basically setting skills and logging out for months. Hence all the gunnery trained and caldari ship skills trained.
Thanks for any help u guys can offer in advance. |

Vulture maybe?
Rokh?
Rail Tengu?
Pure speculation, but from what I have heard Command ships and T3's are good for level 4's...
Have a play around.. Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person." |

You didn't mention what class and in what security space. So kinda vague. Since it's vague, I assume highsec BS running which would be the Rokh. This would also be viable for an incursion fit in a shield fleet. |

Wow why did you do this? Just wondering..
Okay you can use a Rokh but it's going to be sub optimal. Something like this would work

Thank you for this.
And I believe before I took a break was before the expansion that would change ship skills. I was told to train like Caldari Destroyer and it would Lvl 5 a bunch of skills. Its hard for me to remember was almost a year ago. And then I just kept paying for the sub and i would just pick skills. I was dreaming of a sniping Harpy so I started training all the gunnery skills. So yea thats how I found myself in this situation. |

If you want to keep along the railgun line train Gallente. 10 days for Gal BS 4 including the prereqs but of course you'll need armor tanking. That Rokh is going to be tight on cap so the MJD should get you out should you find your tank failing. Stay aligned, keep at range and snipe everything. |

Well then you still don't have a lot of gunnery skills, at least not for large turrets. You can train all the missile support skills to 4 quick enough, then specialize up large missile launchers in as much time as turrets comparatively. Or just go with cruisers, which can do lvl4's quick enough with less SP investment and be viable outside of highsec. Really just depends on the big picture of what you want to do. Do you just want to grind missions for ISK? To some it's just a means to support other things in the game. Yeah, Rokh isn't the fastest, but it has it's unique uses. Just all depends... |

Question what ships would get the most out of staying the course on the Rail Gun Line? |

Pretty much what the poster above said. I've never been that impressed with railguns even after the buff. What is your reason for railguns? If it's just because it's what you have trained already it doesn't take long to train projectiles since all the support skills carry over. Of course if you have your heart set on rails I won't try to talk you out of it. They are nice for PVP sniper use. |

Get a Nightmare.
It will use your secondary gun skills, shield skills and your caldari BS skill.
It works for missions and incursions. |

shields and gunnery you can cross train minmattar hulls or find a pirate \ navy ship which can use shields + guns. you'd need to train Large Energy Turret (but it's not a major deal)
Nightmare is good, and the pirate BS changes coming in the summer do not shaft it in the ass with a barge |

Caldari starts off with Hybrid turrets, it is the weapon the rookie missions give you etc. |

In truth it's bit confusing at the start.. When I first played my first toon was caldari on the trial and they started with guns then missiles then guns and overall on the tutorial you end up with merlin > cormorant so it's confusing. A lot of it is based on the original design philosophies and backstory.
So Gallente ships are based around Blasters & Drones And Caldari ships are based around Railguns or Missiles |

I would just train cruise missiles up and fly a Raven. It doesn't really take that long and the Raven is total easy mode. You dont even have to move your ship and once you can use precision cruise missiles you can even kill frigates with ease. |
