i heard they can stop you jumping through a gate. is this right?
had a corp mate podded because they couldnt jump when there ship blew up

The guy probably had aggro, I've never had that problem.
If you've aggroed against someone you can't jump for a short period of time (someone feed me the number =D).

Just to be clear. They do not cause aggro. As far as I'm aware, unless it's been fixed, even the interdictor can jump immediately after dropping a bubble.

Are there varioius type of sphere? or is it only 20km range?

just to be clear my corp mate jumped into a hostile bubble with no agro (far as i am aware), i am sure its bug but just wanted to confirm

when you change state (chaging state is changing ships, docking, jumping, getting blown up, etc), you can't change to another state for another 30 seconds (same states). when you get pod-killed, the only way to save yourself is to warp out and not try and activate a gate or dock as it won't let you.
