So... I don't have the faction to do level 3's yet, and I'm getting bored of WTFPWNING every level 2 I come across with my Ferox as I did WTFPWNING every level 1 I came across in my Cormorant.
So I'm spicing it up with an absolutely stupid setup.

I only have around 400,000 skillpoints right now, but this setup nets me around 18 HP/sec passive regen, 500-ish M/s, sustainable cap, and hopefully some stupid fun.
I'll let you know how it handles level 2's in a little bit.
(Disclaimer: This obviously isn't for serious combat. I take no responsibility for Ferox's lost in fleet action because they tried to ZOMGZOOM up on a 'Geddon with beams, or anything else that makes stuff dead.)

Edit: The ONLY issue I'll ever have is the Fleet Stabbers in Tech secrets 3. I'll just slap all my Heavies back on and laugh at them, then go back to zoomzoomstupid.

i can breeze threw lvl 3's all missions in my caracal. mission that takes me the longest is angels extravaganza and can do it in under an hour and a half. oh and that's with no warp outs too :)

You have no excuse whatsoever to be doing lvl 2s in a Ferox, ever, unless you somehow lack the standings, but unless you're using a new corp for missions, it's inexcusable. that's like using a Raven to run level 3s.
By the time you make the money to fly a ferox, you have the standing to do level 3 missions, period.
Unless you're one of those people who don't train learning skills, in which case, you'll have the money, but not the BC skill trained.

1 - It's my 14.99 a month.
2 - I'm finding it absolutely hilarious with this setup.
Edit: I should aslo note that my Alt is completely self-funded. On her SECOND level 1 mission during her FIRST day in the game, she looted a Low-Grade Crystal Delta (sold for 45m) and a Pandemonium (Sold for 30m) off of a dread guristas in an encounter mission.

i'm not moving into my ferox till i atleast breach the 3Mil sp mark on the skills i want to use with it prolly gonna go for 1Mil in missiles 1Mil in Sheilds and 1Mil in a mix of other stuff. hmm might learn some t2 250's as well for some ganking fun.
ferox with 400k sp = dead ferox
ferox doing lvl 2 Mishes = not using ferox to full potential, you should be able to do lvl 2's with ease in a cara.
anyway a bit of topic, that setup i ghess does use both of the bonus's a ferox gives. not sure but i'd prefer missiles on a ferox just seems like it was meant to be, cant wait to see the stats on the t3 bs coming out wanna se what bonus caldari finally get for rails.

Hasn't died yet. Likely never will. And if it does, whoopdee. 10 mil gone, at the most. Thats 2 hours work on Tildaras here if I'm being lazy.

Yea. Caracal does quite dandy. Ferox is more F U N. I could care less about full potential. 10 million isk says that if I ever decide to use a Dreadnaught on Tildaras the first thing I'll ever do with it is mine Veldspar.
This thread's intent was to describe a silly ferox setup. How it has derailed into people telling me how to spend my 15$ a month after I've had no problem spending it myself for the last two years is beyond me.

Silly Ferox setup...
5x 75mm gatling 'scout' rails for uber damage and extra range.
2x tractor beams for those pesky interceptors
5x civilian shield boosters
4x Cap power relays for uber cap recharging

Eh, can't use beams, so I threw on small NOS's instead, should be equally useless. Did "Intercept the Sabatours" with it...the tank seemed kinda meh, but it worked.

i would personally use 2 autotargeters.
Another option is fitting 5 meds of ecm burst for uber jammage.

If I go for the bursts though I'll most definately need to go for full nos in the high racks and use a few tech 1 acoyltes for my DPS.

That seems far to low are you sure your working it out correctly? WhatÆs your Hitpoints and shield recharge at?

That was the Quickfit "Shield Regen" stats, I'm switching around setups trying all sorts of crazy things. Honored none-the-less to have the king of Passive Tanking respond to my thread. ;)

Pff that's nothing: I did a mission yesterday and my agent gave me a mission bonus - a genuine CIVILIAN SHIELD BOOSTER ! But wait, there's more: 3 Missions later the Mission Bonus was *drumsroll* not 1 but 62 (!) civilian shield boosters !!!
