Hi.
I wonder if there is a way, how to find if my enemy corp has POS and where it is located.
Thank you in advance. |

Firstly: The hard way and very time consuming, would be to check the moons manually. The second way, and possibly more fun: Infiltrate their corp. Find it from the inside!!! Thirdly: Maybe another way could be to follow a member to it. (Make sure you click their ship and have camera tracking on so you can see where they warp too...)
Other than that, check the Crime & Punishment subforum for mercs, they are not cheap though.
If there is any other way, I don't know it... Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person." |

Gathering intel on opposing corporations can often require stepping beyond regular boundries of gameplay and using a bit of wit to outsmart them.
First of all, I'd recommend you find as many names as possible of the opposing corporation. Using Google to locate killboards with the corporations members mentioned is a good start. Make sure you write down the names and/or add them as contacts as you spot them in local or in fights.
A good indication that a corporation has an operational POS is if it (or its members) are selling Blueprint copies on the contracts market. As an alternative a bit of a social engineering using alts won't hurt your chances either. - If possible you could even try to infiltrate their corporation with a spy.
Once you've got some names, and a hunch that they actually do have a POS, you can try to follow them around using characters not in the warring corporation. You can exclude systems with a security higher than 0.7 as POS's cannot be anchored here. (Will be changed in an upcoming expansion).
In order to locate people, use Locator agents, who will help you track them down.
When checking moons, make sure you use the Directional scanner to your advantage, to quickly identify which moons has anchored structures. This is alot faster than manually warping to each moon.
Good luck! ISD Etetia Commander ISD STAR |

There are a number of things you can do to track a corp's operations down:
1. Locator agents - Locate several identified members of the corp a few times, that'll give you their general roaming area. 1a. Killboards - if your target corp is also involved in PvP regularly they might essentially do all the work for free in the course of defending their territory. 1b. Corp website - never underestimate the power of stupid, you may be able to just follow a link from an info page and have it just tell you. Or sign up for a free account with some website or other and get free access. It's worth trying anyhow.
2. Market conditions - Look for things usually produced at stations (e.g. researched BPCs) on the contracts market from members of that corp. If they're REALLY lazy they'll all be at the nearest station to the structure.
3. Fly around the area in a bomber or covops probe ship and just look at things around the moons with d-scan and then directly.
4. Be aware that the POS may not actually be in the corp's name, but held by an alt, so you may have to sit around a bit to see who actually enters the shield.
Basically that's the sequence for finding someone from scratch and from the outside of the corp -- start broad and gradually narrow it down.
Another option is infiltration and corp theft, but that's pretty time-consuming unless they're amazingly stupid about security. |

So if the said corp is a lonely industrial player, who never participate in PvP in area, where his POS is and never sells BPC, the POS is almost imporssible to find? I mean, if someone decides to join militia, but do not want to lose her POS, she can just use jump clones for combat and have main, industrial, clone with all implants, somewhere deep in high sec. |

Another way to find the name of the members is to use EVE Who. From there you can check their forum history, and pay extra attention to any posts made in the character bazaar here on the forums which can help you figure out who is an alt of who, and if they have alts outside of the corp.
Also check the peoples ingame titles since these sometimes can give away what their "job" within the corporation is. As an example, if someone has the title "POS manager" you can be pretty sure that person will eventually be in the area where their POS is located.
Also make sure you check out the system where their corp HQ is, some will set their corp HQ in the same system as their POS. Phoibe Enterprises official recruitment thread The Eve Reader - -áAudio Recordings of Eve Chronicles

Sure, they CAN (and frankly if you're setting up a POS that's a good damned time to use one of those same-account alts), but if they don't do something in order to move their goods to their other alts/corpmates they aren't actually getting any benefit from the POS. Physical goods have to be moved through space somehow, if you're 27 jumps away in high sec that's bloody hard.
And there's nothing to stop you from finding a POS whilst wandering around and just randomly deciding to blow it up, either, you don't have to personally know the owner to pewpew them. Honestly, most low/null corps will do it automatically just as a matter of protecting their territory. |

I would recommend trying to infiltrate their corp, all sort of valuable tactical information can be obtained once you have earned their trust. And while you're in there, go ahead and kill as many of your new corp mates as you can before they kick you.
