Let's say I'd like to put up some Buy Orders, for ... stuff..., in the half-dozen or so biggest mission hub systems. In order to help mission runners profit more and faster from their endavours, of course.
What are those hubs? I've heard about Motsu as a mission hub, but is that still current?
Are mission hubs even still a thing? |

Wil be very hard to setup a market in a mission hub that is within less than 5 jumps to a trade hub. Osmon is close to Jita, Langinisi is close to Hek, and I believe Apanake is close to Amarr.
Your best bet for finding good mission hubs is to use the Agent Finder and look for those systems with a lot of L4 agents in them. |

You could also take a look at Pro-Synergy. They're a group that will salvage for you. Wherever they have salvagers/offices are the busier missioning systems. In game view all 4 factions navies/fleet corps.
Find all the L4 agents they offer.
You now have a list of hubs to start with.
Add SOE L4 agents and secondary corps of each empire if you need more.
Use map to see how many pilots in space in those systems if you need to be more selective for higher volume. |

Wrong. Apanake and Simela are closer to Dodixie but still way too far from it. Good place to start with. Other places far from trade hubs are Ordion, Cat and Junsoraert. But Cat is close to Villore, so ... All minmatars are close to Hek or rens. No idea about Caldary since I do not care much about those traitors.
Systems with many L4 agents are often close to local trade hubs. May be this is the very reason we have trade hubs where they are and not in Yulai as it was originally planned. |

If it were me, I would do a search for systems with lots of L4 mission agents, then pull up the map and do a search where the most ship losses are occurring and compare the 2. IMO, systems with a lot of L4 mission agents and lots of ship losses = a good system to sell stuff in. If the system is not close to a trade hub, even better. Players with a lot of ISK are often times lazy, so if you keep the price reasonable then they will most likely buy it instead of taking the extra jumps down to a trade hub. |

The OP is asking about buy orders.
Sell orders/manufacturing are an entirely different thing. |

Basically pick level 4 hubs away from major markets. Osmon is no good as its 6 jumps from jita.
Find areas with multiple level 4 agents.
Waskisen
Ichoriya
Palas
Yulai
All of these are a fair travel to a trade hub(10+ jumps) |

Actually any mission hub that is in a different region to the nearest major hub is a good bet. The ingame market only shows prices from your current region.
Missioners tend to check local market and if in station is within the region ballpark just buy and sell locally.
Do not expect huge turnover though. |
