Now that the universe is even brighter with nice bright background nebula and a new graphics engine, and a new scalable UI, can we have 'widescreen' or 'letterbox' mode back? I don't always finish my commentary, but when I do |

Can we have an option to 'opt out' of the fly to cargo or wreck and open it button so that it doesn't move us towards the the can or change our flight path? Changing course every time I grab loot is starting to suck with larger ships.
And another plead for widescreen/letterbox mode so that I can read target stats when flying in Domain, please?

A request for warning lights to be toggle-able and position-able that light up when you are warp scrambled, jammed, sensor damped, getting NOSed to death (ya,cha, cha, chaa), etc.
The ability to select the closest object doing said event when you click on it would be handy.
One other thing, for us carebear types who walk to use discretion more than valor at times, the opposite of the 'approach' button would be nice. (although I suppose the 'keep at range button could do that one, just set it for 8999km)

Have an option to put your bookmarks (aka Locations) in to the overview for the system you are in. -and/or- Have a checkbox/toggle that only shows bookmarks (locations) in the system you are in. A nice extension of this would be to allow only bookmarks within a given radius to be shown (like 1-5 jumps).
The bookmark/location window can take up a lot of real estate on the screen and is pretty archaic. An easier way to get to those links that was not akin to the Rolodex would be very handy.

Please teach my helmsman to turn on or off the afterburners all at the same time instead of one at a time. Right now, when orbiting something, when you turn on or off an afterburner your ship feels the need to chose a random new direction. While I have been blaming Ensign Smith XVIII (Or was is XIX, I lose track) I found that no amount of airlock reeducation has improved the situation. Working on PI tonight I noticed that the blue 'i' icons are interfering with the ability to read the routing and storage levels in the units. Since it is not possible to resize these windows (grumble) can they be made a little bit larger so we can see the numbers clearly?

Lugh Tal-Sela wrote:ALSO: I dunno about anyone else but I spend a lot of time trying to balance my HULK perfectly between the 100k Veld on portside with the 100k veld on starboard so I can go send angry E-Mails to various public bodies that irritate me knowing my hulk is productive. This is harder to do as the UI scales to the nearest 1000m after it gets to 10k m and there is no way to see the exact distance.
Fix this PLZ and I will keep my alt subscribed. :)
So you are looking for a fine-tuned range meter that would display meter and not KM out to a player specified range? Example: right now anything under 10km is shown in meters, but you would like the ability to tell the system to start showing you meters rather than kilometers at a longer range (weapons or miner range) of 15km or more?
