I'm curious as to how many women currently serve as CEOs of corporations in EVE.
I'm one, and I know of two more.
So, womenfolk -- post in this here thread, and represent! Share stories of how you came to run your corp! |

Mynxee used to back in the day. She's back as a member of Stay Frost now but still, she was a KILLER CEO.
There's also Shalee Lianne, she leads an alliance (Imperial OutlawsDOT).
I know a few more who play Eve, but aren't CEOs. However, I'm sure there's a good many of them in Eve.

LadyScarlet runs Destructive Influence in NCdot and manages a rental empire of almost 15,000 players. She's actually been doing it for years and years and ran her corp in BoB as well. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is. |

Could you please tell me the reason for asking? Am I supposed to find it special that a women is capable of running a corporation? And if so, please also tell me why it's supposed to be special. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=335611&find=unread |

Well, you're reading an awful lot into a pretty simple question.
But some women EVE players I follow on Twitter were mentioning that they were trying to put together a WGOE panel for FanFest, and that got me to wondering. I rarely run into other women CEOs in game, though my corpmates will tell me when they run into them on voice comms during fleets, etc.
If it's "special" -- which, by the way, I don't think it is -- it would only be because it's been over a year and every time I get on comms with people for the first time, there's shock and surprise that I'm a woman.
So maybe raising visibility that hey, women DO RUN CORPS in EVE, and it's not weird, or special, is a good thing? |

Ladies, ladies, please.
No need to argue like this, it is not productive at all.

I can confirm this. Niffer Mac is an ruthless empress who rules her corp and earlier Razor with an iron fist and an appetite for destruction and pusheen pictures.
We have a female director. Does that count as well?
Another thing: Female FC's. I only know of one, and thats Laxiel Stell from -A- who seems to take out small gangs now and then. Though she only speaks Russian, so thats for our eastern bros. But that voice.... <3

I have no facts, no numbers to support this, but from what I have experienced so far... I am confident that there is a higher percentage of women in CEO or other leadership positions compared to percentage of men in these kind of roles (probably with the exception of FC)...
so why the need for more women to step up? Would be great to see more women play eve in general, but imho leadership role is for those that have the ability, regardless of the gender. Anyway, side tracked from the OP (sorry there). [D3NSE] Negative Density Recruiter

Oh no, not a derail at all!
I think what I've noticed, as a woman CEO, is that there's less of a tendency, or need, for the men in the corp to have bro out, and be all hard man like. I try to keep the atmosphere chill and extremely goofy. I smack down the racist/sexist remarks* if they happen (but they are incredibly rare), but encourage obscenity, especially creative obscenity.
We play EVE that we may shoot others in the face! Everything else falls as a distant second to this noble pursuit.
