...having all your alts listed under your avatar pic.
If you want to forum troll anonymously, you would have to have a seperate account with do-nothing toons just for that purpose.
It's a money maker CCP...think about it. A great American humorist and author recently said: "The one unintentional flaw of the internet generation is its ability to give the stupidest segments of our population the loudest voices." I have a tendency to agree with his statement.-á |

A thing like that goes beyond just forum trolls and plays the meta game aspect in-game as well... so it may not be super wise.
Closest it has been before was release of the API since it listed all the chars on an account.
Doubt CCP would make equally as much money as current PLEX sales anyway.

#thefacts
Just a few of the "zero" reasons not to:
- Because, OMG, like, totally NOBODY has more than one account. That would be SO lame, right Becky?
- AWOXing, spying, corp theft, and other forms of espionage/sabotage are allowed and encouraged gameplay styles, and publicizing everyone's alts would completely ruin that. CCP would lose money because the guys who enjoy those styles would either quit, outright, or at least unsub their secondary accounts.
- Privacy is still important, even in New Eden. Even if you aren't involved in anything under-handed, you may still have a good reason for keeping an alt a secret from your corp/your alt's corp. One in particular I can think of..... perhaps a pirate wants to do Incursions, but his/her corp will kick them for doing PvE (Basgerin Pirate is a great example of this), and/or the corp they are trying to join their alt to won't take anyone that is involved with piracy. Pretty sure that would make people unsub, too. Again, CCP loses money.
- It is also entirely possible that your corp will boot you for using the forums, or some of the ideas you express will get you onto the wrong people's radars, in-game. Or perhaps you are seeking information and advice, but you don't want everyone to know that a 2003 player doesn't know how to cyno or properly fit a T3. Not everyone hides behind a forum alt to troll. And not everyone is foolish enough to troll with their main, like I do. Some people have perfectly good reasons for veiling themself in a forum alt. In fact, no matter what your reason for having a forum alt is, it's perfectly good.
- What the hell do you care if someone goes on the forums with their main or not? It's literally NONE of your concern. That moment when you realize the crazy lady with all the cats was right... |

This forum doesnt have any thread count features that I know of.

Main posting draws attention with ingame repurcussions/harassment.

In my experience, not really.
I mean you would't say that I've gone out of my way to avoid antagonising people and yet in almost 8 years I can only think of a single instance where I've "suffered" for my posting. If you can call losing a drake to a doomsday "suffering". "It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his ISK/hr depends upon his not understanding it!" |

That may be your expereince, but it doesnt play that way for all.
For example, I made a thread about bounties having a minimum amount requirment some time back.
Someone took that to heart and placed a 10 mil bounty on me.
Is it a big deal? No.
Is it an example of forum posting resulting in ingame repercussions?
Yes.
So yes, what you say in forum can affect you in game. A great American humorist and author recently said: "The one unintentional flaw of the internet generation is its ability to give the stupidest segments of our population the loudest voices." I have a tendency to agree with his statement.-á |

To me that's a reward, not a "repurcussion" in the usual sense of the word.
