Hey all,
I've done a few of the Dread Pirate Scarlet missions now and I've never been able to kill Scarlet before she jumps through the acceleration gate.
Is it possible to get this annoying rat before they jump?
Do I need to bump her off the gate before she warps or is there some other trick I can use?

As far as I know it is intentional, you are just supposed to follow once you kill ships :) |

In pocket 2 you can't kill her, she will warp off as soon as she take any damage.
In Pocket 3, with very high dps you can actually kill her before she warps off. If you manage to do so, mission will be cleared and an social implant will drop in a can right next to scarlet's wreck. |

I noticed that in pocket 3 she hung around to fire a few pot shots at me before I tried to hit her.
Would some high dps guns be better than cruise missiles?
I'm thinking that it would due to delayed dps thanks to the flight time.
Unless I get in real close with an OP Tengu. |

You don't need a sebo at all.
The first time you encounter her she will warp off as soon as she takes any damage or has a module activated against her. I use a mobile depot to refit to 1400 in the previous room and alpha her off the field. There is no time limit on when she disappears in this room, she simply leaves the first time you do any damage (unless its enough to kill her outright).
The next time there is a time limit but its plenty enough to kill her in and she drops a +4 charisma implant. Note if you killed her the first time you still get to kill her the second (and get the 5 mil bounty twice).
If you didn't kill her the second time you see her again in the final room though killing her now doesn't drop the implant. |

I do it with a torp golem. No SeBo's or anything out of the regular fit. |

I do it with a mach or tengu, no sebo, land in 3rd pocket, target and kill Scarlet, fly to can to loot implant and warp off. I love that mission lol. |

You can also use a Warp Disruptor to immobilize her. So you have plenty of time to kill her if you can-¦t alpha her |

I've killed her in a PVP fit Abaddon before. No sebos, just pulse lasers.
I decided to give it a shot because I've never killed her with cruise missiles before because it seems like as soon as you activate a module, it initiates her timer for her to warp off, which means you might get 1 missile volley on her before she hits the acceleration gate. Lowering the average to make you look better since 2012. |

Killed with AC vargur with no trouble.
If blitzing, I've been able to get her in a Loki before w/ t1 ammo, needed a MWD, t2 drones, + overheating
If ur having trouble, I'd recommend buying some deeps via ammo, faction wep upgrades, and implants if you haven't already, as they can help with all missions. Also, consider overheating until ur skills are trained higher. The repair amount, if any, is negligible compared to the implant she drops. |

actually in the pocket before the final i alpha her. gets me a +3% implant and 5M then i jump into the last and kill her again. Using a Navy Raven with close to perfect skills and fury and rigors for said alpha. |

Implant drop is random I believe. I usually get a better chance of the implant drop in the second or third room. You can get an implant drop in the 4th room, but it is rare. 1400 Artys usually alpha her dead, dead, dead very well. |

Well... You could take the time to kill everything, or take 5 minutes for 5 million bounty + implant + 3-4 mil in rewards + LP.
The more time you spend on it, the less ISK per hour, if that's your thing. I normally don't care much about ISK per hour, but making that much for a five minute run is too good to pass up.

It just so happens my next mission on this char is the scarlet one lol
I'm pretty sure I can fit a warp scrambler on my raven for one of the rooms.
Although if I wait a couple of days I'll be able to fly a Cerberus.
Does anyone have a Cerberus fit for lvl 4 missions?

Hmmm I find looting much more satisfying... except from the obvious salvage and normal L4 drops u suddenly get 6-7 million meta 4 launcher or 2 million Laser gun and such stuff... it's add up. also each of those ships is somewhere between 200k to 1.2 mil bounty... so yes I can farm the LP quickly like some bot but if I were doing money farming in first place I'll just get ISOBOX setup of orca with 5 hulks and farm asteroids :x what's the fun in that.

In pocket 2, high enough gun alpha (missiles won't work, since she despawns at the beginning of cycle) can kill her before she leaves. Otherwise, she will hang around until she is fired upon or hit with any offensive module.
In Pocket 3, you have a good ten seconds to either kill her (one-hit not needed, but for sake of time is recommended) or use a scram/disruptor to lock her down and kill her.
I can confirm that a Golem w/ at least 1-2 TP, either Rigor II/Flare II or dual Rigor II, and one salvo of Mjolnir Fury can kill her in pocket 3.
An interesting note is that the gates can to some extent be ignored. If you drop an MTU in any/all of the pockets and fail to kill her in either pocket, you can leave her in pocket 4, wait till after the next down time, and then warp directly to the MTUs (bookmarked, of course) to bypass the gates altogether. You can even set the MTUs up close to where she will normally spawn in either pocket to ensure you land well inside optimal range for your weapons or scram/disruption range. |

To each their own. While I often find some pleasure in relaxedly clearing out red-crosses, there is a also certain satisfaction in finishing a mission in the most efficient way possible... Now, if I'm doing it for fun, rather than for profit, I downship... Use a AF. |

I kill her before the final room using an RNI. She always drops a charisma implant.
She is weakest against EM, so switch missiles if you're having trouble with her. |

You can alpha her in the second pocket, it leaves an empty wreck and no implant drop.
The mission does not complete and she will still spawn in the third room. If you alpha her there the mission completes and you get the +3 implant.
Did this last week twice, if its a bug its a consistent one.

Tengu can get implant in pocket 3. SNI can get implant in pocket 3 with sensor booster. My mission alt uses a Tornado to pop Anire Scarlet in pocket 2(5mil) and pocket 3(5mil+implant). Pocket 4 will not contain Scarlet after mission completion in pocket 3.
Alpha with Republic Fleet EMP is just over 10k with a mix of level 4 and 5 skills. Alpha with normal EMP, just under 9k, will graze too low with current skills once in awhile.
