Just wonder at what point people will move there PI.
I am using hi sec planets. It's like having a slum lord.
I'm looking to move existing PI with 16% + tax rates.
of course, it's time consuming and some isk is put into new facilities but wth. |

Personally, if you're paying more than 10% net taxes, you're overpaying. Take your business elsewhere. If people insist on exploiting it, get out of the business.

If you move away from the trade hubs, you can find a lot of POCO's owned by one and two man alt corps that no longer play. Just pay a merc corp to take out their POCO's and then put up nice new ones for yourself. It will take a bit of time to make the cost back but you will get near-free PI from now on AND make money from others using your planets. |

Shoot those POCO's then put your own up, and let us know if you offer 0% tax.

I control several nullsec POCO's, and usually leave rates at ~3% or less. I'd imagine highsec POCO owners would rarely set their rattes above 5% unless they are purposely trying to drive away business.

The cut-off point is at 15%. Why? Because at that point it becomes cheaper to launch it using the command center. Personally I think 10% is reasonable and up to 15% is pushing it but doable. My YouTube Channel - EVE Tutorials & other game related things! |

It's not uncommon to see high sec POCO taxes at between 17% and 25% including having trained the POCO tax skill up to level five. |

This is high sec PVP at work.. they are trying to make the area the least attractive as possible to competition. -á-á- remove the cloaked from local; free intel is the real problem, not-á "afk" cloaking-á-

Something similar happened to one of my W-Space PI alts. After a few months with 10% tax, the owner suddenly decided to jump up the tax to 25% and since I was too lazy to do anything about it, again a few weeks later the owner just gave up and closed access completely.
Cue me having to search for another wormhole, tearing down the old PI-factories, building them again in the new wormhole. All paid for by the materials I had to smuggle out of the old wormhole via command center.
Now that I've learned from this, I've integrated my command center deep into my setup so I can't be surprised like that anymore. If my new POCO-owners decide to become greedy, I can just evade them completely.
In HighSec of course planets are rather sparse with ressources and instead of doing a weird tax-avoidance setup like this moving is always better. |
