For those that don't remember the old EVE store, we had mouse pads, key chains, shot glasses (SHOTS SHOTS SHOTS!), awesome T-shirts and hoodies not like the **** they have now (LOL guristas stitch-work), posters, and ship models. The ship models did not sell too well since they were around 150 US$ each, but they were actually heavy cunks of medium-high to high detail resin. I'm pretty sure the apocalypse model could be used as a murder weapon...... numerous times before it would break.
Expensive ship models aside, all the other things like key-chains and mouse pads were around 10~25 dollars which is a little steep, but compared to the ridiculous 5 times higher cost of the Musterbrand shop, it's pretty obvious CCP could sell MUCH more for MUCH cheaper. Why has Musterbrand not been ditched yet for a better service, or going back to in-house?
I remember talking with a dev at Fanfest, sadly I can't remember which one, and he mentioned the distaste for Musterbrand himself. Is CCP stuck in a contract with this horrid service, and is that why they can't break out and offer their own merchandise? |

As somebody who has purchased a Musterbrand Guristas Enforcer jacket I have to admit that I am more then happy with it.
I have had it for about 7 months now, it has been worn often in all types of whether and has been subject to the normal abuses that 2 young children usually inflict on clothing (Spilling of various drinks and foods) and it is showing no signs of wear and tear.
It is very well made and the material is a very good quality.
As for Musterbrand themselves, whilst it is obvious they are there are not some major international company with 1000's of staff, pretty sure its just a small group of folk working out of a warehouse in hamburg, they were very friendly and helpful when I needed their support due to me ordering the incorrect size.
All in all I can not say anything bad about them. |

Could CCP find an alternative designer / manufacture for a cheaper clothing line, of course.
Its not difficult to produce very low cost clothing to with a printed logo on it, but then do you want a $10 Tee Shirt with a printed logo on it that will fall apart as soon as you wear it?
If you don't care then go make yourself one.
Myself, I wanted a High Quality, well manufactured unique jacket that will last years and that is what I have.
The stitch-work of the guristas logo is horrid though.... I mean it looks like a kid with down's stitched it together. |

CCP said at last years fan fest they went with a clothing company to manage it, because well CCP is not a clothing company.
However, a lot of the old stuff in the eve store was awesome. Some of the designs in the new one are.. mmm... lacking. Though I might look into buying an eve button up shirt for work. |

Edit: right, that button up was a mock up form last years fan fest. Its still not available. but was bad ass.
Yes! The shirts were great and cheaper than the current "musterbrand" which is suppose to create a economy of scale due to it's merchandise specialization that CCP is SUPPOSE to be lacking according to their explanation. In reality it seems like Musterbrand is lacking quantity, cost effectiveness, and overall understanding of what EVE merchandise should be. |

Musterbrand has good customer service, and good quality, unfortunately their selection is lacking. It would be nice to see some cheaper t-shirts and such in their store, but I wouldn't want to see their other products disappear to accommodate that. That statement is as un-funny as it is offensive. What possible opinion do you hope to have if you cannot express it without being so wildly offensive? Forums are playing EVE too. Fact. |

Because such a polarized expression can let the reader relate much more easily to the level of quality we are talking about instead of just saying "It has poor quality stitch-work" or "the overall logo is fragmented." |

The amount of money CCP leaves on the table simply amazes me from both the out of game and in game NEX store. I have several Eve related items. Tshirts, a minmatar hoodie, a super cool schematic type picture of a Hurricane and a rifter USB hub. CCP only got money for the rifter. "Its the pod I'm after. I haven't been impressed with any of the store offerings over the years.
Musterbrand store has little to choose from. CCP's old store had more to choose from, but the items were either overpriced, or lacking in quality.
For example, a few years back I fancied owning an EVE-themed mug for some reason, and the only mug in the store at the time was one of those awful "changes image when you put hot water in it" ones that you can't even put in a dishwasher. The ship models were great, but very expensive. I also wanted a t-shirt with the Caldari logo on it, but it was only available in tent size. Needless to say I didn't buy anything, which is a shame because I want to give CCP all my money.
Go over to Valve's Store and see how it's done.
Items that should be in the EVE store: - Simple black or white mugs with faction logos on them - Fedo plushies - Ship plushies (I want a cuddly Moa) - Ship models - Simple t-shirts with faction logos on them - Faction logo keyrings made from metal |

They have some decent looking gear for other games on musterbrand.com, I don't get why the EVE gear is so.....uninspiring.
Were they given any of the artwork or shown any game footage, did they even play the game? Maybe they should have a panel at fanfest or the ability to access the forums and a thread for gear discussion. Maybe we'll get some good gear or drive them to drop ccp as a customer, either way it should be an improvement over what we have now.

For me the shipping price used to be the problem. Old store I wanted to buy a ship model...Shipping was as expensive as the ship itself...It was just silly...
The new store, although lacking in amount of items, is overpriced. I would never put Gé¼70+ into a single piece of clothing. |

No, its like saying Lucasfilm dont actually make Star Wars Lego themselves "They feel the need to cover their ears and eyes in horror at your very presence." - Pontianak Sythaeryn "I can't honestly believe that Peace and Prosperity has a face like a naughty sarcastic nun that's come to whip me with a ruler." - Domanique Altares -á-á ***FREE THE JITA 1*** |

Sadly you must have missed the opportunity to meet nerdy women at concerts. The pirate logos would work in many counterculture underground scenes. But you would not know anything about those would you? |

I bought one thing of Musterbrand and one thing they get totally wrong is their sizes. Their XXL is more like XL. So i now have a pretty worthless guristas hoodie since i do not have the wish to look like the michelin logo puppet. Apparently they base their sizes on metrosexual hipster Icelanders instead of the fat Germanic tribes of Europe. *Snip* Removed trolling part of the post. Seconding this. Here's a suggestion: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=4469358#post4469358 Also, mousepads, I really need a replacement. One with a cloth surface and a Gallente or Guristas theme please.
FWIW, I bought the Guristas bag a while ago and I'm really happy with the quality. If you can keep that up and expand the selection that would be appreciated.
