Hello EVE community!
With a game so broad, so in depth, alot of n00bers like myself often wonder what can you really do in game. The response often given is anything you want, not much of a help but this is one of the reasons I am already addicted to EVE.
So I ask you veteran players, what do you do in EVE?
Hoping this thread will open some doors to different ideas on what I can do...and help others as well.

Personally I'm liking PvP. Not sure if I'll go pirate or antipirate. Also interested in research/trading....I just can't make up my mind.

I like two sides of EVE, first is the pvp of it, second is the corporation management part of it. --------------------

EVE is your sandbox, play in it, build your own world, your own empire if you want.
Or take down the next kid's little empire with a great big stomp XD -

Mission... chat... look blankly at the screen for hours on end as I go through the motions of going several jumps, kill one ship, then go back all the jumps...

Theres no point to going anti-pirate. Piracy all the way.

I would be a pirate, but I didn't want to lower my sec rating so bad that I'd have trouble doing other things such as researching/trading/hauling. Is it possible to be a pirate and do those things?

In 0.0 It is.
In low-sec you can get abuot 30kills from 0.0 sec rating before going below -1.9 (i think)
For every player ship you kill you need to kill prolly about 50 npc cruisers to regain your security status.

Thanks Mishima...so I can raise my sec status. Hmmmmmm...pirating sounds fun. I was a bounty hunter in SWG before they killed it and I was looking for that same rush you get when you take someone out.

Just be sure not to pod kill. It only takes a few pod kills to get kicked out of empire. :x --------
