Oh, yea. ABOUT THAT....
Can you guys like, also maybe consider removing the music activation on FW plex acceleration gates? It's kinda.... out of place. I mean there's like one rat. Right now lowsec actually has decently creepy music, and it always gets interrupted by the same two blaring, out of place rock tracks usually involving the death of one rat and then solitude for a length of time.
It's kind of anti-immersion. |

To carve a successful niche for yourself in EVE you need to be able to out sell, out produce, out fight,-á out run, or out wit your competitors. If you can do none of the above, your only option is to complain on the forums that somehow you are at a disadvantage using the exact same tool set-áas the rest of the player base. |

CCP WhiteNoiseTrash I love what you are doing and I'm patient , I understand how many great ideas you guys have but it takes time to implement everything and do it correctly, i completely sympathize with that. I have a ongoing fantasy with Eves sounds (in particular voice) That i would love to see someday, 2 years? 5years? I can wait, I love Eve and the direction it's going. Basically I would love to see voice cues for almost everything. With the option to turn it off of course. A adaptive voice system that could call out every ship in the game, "Locked on by maller class cruiser" "sustaining (light, medium, Heavy)(Em,Th,Kn,Ex) Damage." If your Tank holds after some time a auditory cue, "Shield/Armor strength stabilizing integrity" or something to that effect. This could be applied to many aspects of the game from combat, probes, triage etc. Hey i can dream can't I? The idea sounds great in my head anyways. |

Question about the audio in eve: I love some of the soundracks, unfortunately all of the ones I like only play in hisec. I spend most of my time in null, so I rarely get to hear them. Would it be possible to include a "shuffle all" option in the audio options? |

We really, really, really....like really....need some musical tracks for nullsec. Right now nullsec has no music, just ambient background noise. Whenever I go back to high sec (which is rarely), and I hear below the asteroids, I'm reminded of just how critical that experience is to Eve, and how music enhances the connection to the game and increases a player's overall enjoyment. We're missing out on that experience entirely at the moment and it's a real shame.
While you're not the boss of things like that, surely you can talk to the ones who are and make a good case to them for it? |

It's made by HaZaR and he hasn't made this HQ track available to the public, unless you want the SoundCloud version: https://soundcloud.com/hazar/hazar-eve-crucibletrailer
It's also been used in the Crucible Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HrrVDV_NsNo

A distinctive warning for being decloaked would be very nice
Distinctive sound when a module turns itself off (sometimes its hard to notice this, like when a scrambler is slightly outside its range and turns off)
Distinctive sound when a module gets overheated past X amountn++ |

I think it was the music used for one of the previous trailers. an Icelandic guy made it. I don't remember which one. perhaps the Crucible trailer.
This track is really good, but a poor choice for this particular video, it was too short and just fading in and out at fanfest, they did so twice - it was really weird.

I still stand by the statement that the contextual music in C&C Red Alert 3 was really good. You'd have your standard background tracks and then if fighting kicked off the music changed to a heavier/rock piece and people were blowing up everywhere.
Then, when the fighting died down the music did too. What was great is you didn't even consciously notice the change, it just always seemed to fit.
I love the idea that in EVE we would be waiting in a fleet by a POS for it to come out of reinforce, and the music subtly builds up tension as the timer is about to expire, then it builds up some more as enemy ships are spotted on grid and as a load of ships cyno in the music totally changes and kicks into rock music as the firing starts.
Then as the enemy ships flee, the music dies back down to just background noise. "If an injury has to be done to a man it should be so severe that his vengeance need not be feared." - Niccolo Machiavelli |

ok. SISI should be updated tomorrow. I am melting in sweat right now, to get as much of this ready as possible for the transition to SISI.
also I have encountered a few problems with some effects being triggered by other than their intended use. Like cloaking and decloaking when coming out of gates, holes, cynos, whatever - it plays the cloaking effect and that means that you may have turned everything down, except for modules, which then results in a huge sound to be played if you are too close to the ship.
quite annoying. Bj++rn Jacobsen | Audio Designer | EVE Online & EVE : Valkyrie | CCP Games | Anything sound related, ask away.Killing is just means of communication |
