As the Executor of a WH alliance currently experimenting with CareBears and Industry I am extremely happy about the new industry changes. The only thing I feel that needs to be rectified is WH industry.
1. It doesnt exist for a good reason: logistics, danger, mass limits, crappy refine. 2. These changes should fix it. Except for total profitability on capital ships.
To combat Null Sec competition a LS only pos mod was announced. I simply want the same for WH space since we do not have access to Outposts. Just like LS. Other then that I am happy being able to sell a capital in almost any market with the simple roll of a hole.
Is there any legitimate reason WH Industry can't be exciting as well? I love climbing into holes! I train New Bro's in WormHoles! Check out my PodCast: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=3704128#post3704128 Also checkout these other PodCasts: http://evepodcasts.com/ |

WH's weren't intended for efficient industry and I don't think that design choice has changed. Capital Storm is recruiting Aussies for Lowsec pvp and money making. Join "Capital Storm Pub" channel ingame. www.capitalstorm.net |

I imagine a lot of the difficulty would come from determining if a system was in wspace or not. Current POS module placing only has restrictions on system security.
As the above poster said, wspace wasn't intended for industry and I see no reason why it should be. CCP didn't even originally expect players to live in wormholes and almost stopped us placing POS' there, only leaving them in because why not. |

"Reprocess all the things" POS changes:
1. Refining Array is getting the "0.4 and below" restriction removed, and bumped to 52% base. 2. Intensive Refining Array is being bumped to 54% base. Retains "0.4 and below" restriction. 3. Compression Array -- new module, can be anchored anywhere.
"Building Better Worlds" POS Changes: 1. You can anchor anywhere without standings (barring Jita, newbie systems, and some others) 2. You must put BP[O|C] into the POS array to do stuff with it
"Industry UI" - nothing special here "Researching the Future" - nothing special "The Price of Change" - nothing special "Team Up" - nothing special
Last time I checked, W-space was 0.0 ... which falls under both "0.4 and below" and "anywhere".
Or have I happened to miss the "new pos module" you're talking about? One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia |

In the industry panel, Greyscale said that because the main industrial activity in LS was cap production, and because LS can't benefit from upgraded outposts, that there would be a new pos mod that would be LS only and keep cap production here viable. I see no reason why W-space shouldn't get the same.
Greyscale also noted that it was Mynnna who was especially forceful in bringing this to the attention of the dev team, despite Mynnna being a nullsec overlord with zero personal stake in helping independent lowsec cap producers compete (these were not his exact words). "CCP is changing policy, and has asked that we discontinue the bonus credit program after November 7th. So until then, enjoy a super-bonus of 1B Blink Credit for each 60-day GTC you buy!"

Well, that depends on their plans then ... it might just be a "better" (i.e. faster) variant than what's available right now. So long as they're not messing with material requirements, then there's nothing to worry about (let's be honest here -- caps in w-space are pretty much locked into the system they're built in, unless C5/6 wormhole opens up. One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia |

A C5 or a C6 could certainly be a base for capital construction; holes to lowsec and null open up fairly frequently. And the components could be made in smaller Author of the Karen 162-áblog.
