Well, I have seen in recent weeks that some t2 ships such as the arazu have dropped rapidly in price. It used to be up near 200million for the ship and now its below 100mil in certain regions.
Also, I have been seeing faction ships such as the Fleet Issue Tempest getting very low. I saw that ship going for as low as 620mil today on escrow. Thats amazing as to last month when I saw the low of 920mil and high of 1.5bil isk.
I was just wondering if these price drops are associated with research agent drops( such as Arazu bpos') and more agents having rewards or offers of faction ship drops. Or maybe the deadspace areas are dropping more faction ship bpcs'.
It doesnt really matter to me really. Its good for the buyers of faction ships/equipment. I wouldnt be suprised to see many fleets with faction ships within them.

The lp for faction ship offers was lowered awhile ago that = more faction ships = lower price. Also in the case of the arazu it was overpriced when it came out since it turned out to be not that great of a ship that + alot of ppl dont have the skills to fly rcon ship = low price.

Everything is thru the roof when it first drops on the market people paid 40 mil for ass frigs and thats when 40 mil took a little time to make unlike now where you can cover 40mil in 2 hours npcing in 0.0 using a ganking bs warping in at 100 and not pick up cans.
The recons are not gonna be worth as much as a cearbearus for example because recons are not gonna be based on lvl 4 agent runner or complex runner prices they will be based on pvp prices.
Recons are lost less as opposed to hacs because people dont npc or solo pvp with them as they cant break the tank of a thorax excpet for the amarr ones which are laughable once the drones are dead.

They are given out in COSMOS missions. Looks like somebody (i know him :) found out how to get faction standing the fast way.
So the lower limit for fleet tempests prices are set by the respawn rate of that COMSOS complex and the number of ppl who know how to gain faction standing fast. That will go on until a dev decides it's about time to do something about it like it happend with Vigilant BPCs.

Some people run COSMOS mission series multiple times by buying vouchers from other pilots to enter the complex. They fail the mission so they can go for another round ... for looting and selling the Fleet ship BPC. Carriers help immensely.

Implant prices have dropped a lot too. It used to be a +3 would be around 40M, but now they're about 25-30M.

What? You're unwilling to sell the Firetail for less than the BPC costs when the agents offers it to you? You're weird! --*=*=*-- Megadon CCP wanted a well known artist and celebrity to test the new font so it's approval would be well known. They got Ray |

Edited by: Mnengli Noiliffe on 26/05/2006 07:20:08 Fleet pests drop in missions thus price dropping rapidly (I think navy pocs can be farmed the same way but there are only caldari/amarr farmers currently, well that will change sooner or later). Arazu price drops because it is not yet popular - everybody goes for caldari ecm recons or amarr nos ones. But I guess after ECM nerf it might change...
As of the empire frigs, well you know they're essentially useless for the price so only collectors ever buy them. Just refuse offers with them faction frigs.
There are items however which keep raising in prices.. set gamma and epsilon implants for instance.

Edited by: Alex Harumichi on 26/05/2006 07:27:04 Well, dunno about the faction ships, haven't run missions much lately. But with the recons the price drop is easy to figure out -- they were new ships, and at first priced accordingly. However, since they are specialized pvp ships that take a bunch of skills to fly, the customer base is much smaller than the HAC one, for example. The price drop of the t2 battlecruisers has probably most to do with their skill reqs -- not that many people have the skills yet. In addition, they are so slow that for many purposes a HAC is simply better.
I absolutely love my Arazu, btw. It's great flying a ship that the general consensus says is "not that hot" -- I can get 2 of these for the price of one Falcon.
Also, at the risk of shocking someone, I'd say the Lachesis rocks. Yes, really.

I can vouch for the whole voucher thing i know a few peeps who have been paid 250 mil for their's voucher, all they had to do was talk to the agent, then give some guy in a dred the voucher. ----------------------------------------------

1. Recon prices drop because a lot of BPOs have been seeded, increasing supply. Morons who pump them out at POSes even though the market does not need 30 lachesis per day dont help either.
2. Republic Fleet / Amarr Navy items and +5 Implants are farmed in low sec COSMOS. Expect it to get nerfed as soon as you find out how to do it / get a carrier to be able to do it.
3. Shield tanking and missiles mods have shot through the roof. Just buying up all Dread Guristas Invulnerability fields back in January (after RMR) would have yielded a net profit of roughly 150-200m per item ( 150%-200% return on investment). Pre-RMR it would have been 40-60m->300m. Way better then Farming COSMOS or bothering with t2.
4. Many other high end faction items have risen in price. Chelm CRs wont go go for less then 2b now, officer PDUs (even the worthless ones) are 200m+. 64% armor hardeners have seen a price increase (150-180 ->200-230), so did gistii small Shield boosters and Domination Webbers.
Strangely, most True sansha and shadow serpentis gear has remained pretty constant since January.
Looks like the money that has been flowing into the new RMR ships (carriers + skills + BPOs, flycatchers for 150m), creating the illusion of a slight deflation, has finally turned back into faction mods. At least in my market, inflation is back, stronger then ever.
