Ok so here's the deal. I'm flying a ferox that's a passive shield tank on a level 3 angel extravagaza. I'm running 4 tech 2 large shield, invul shield 1, a warp core stabalizer (I was running level 4's with a friend in a battleship earlier), and three shield power relays.
Now with that said I got to the end and went into that super hard area after the locked gate. I warped in and there was (I think) two battleships, about 8-9 frigates, and about 5-6 crusiers. What should I equip so that I can fight off everyone there? Thanks!

TBH, you'll get more mileage out of 2 Large Extenders, 2 Explo hardeners, and one Kinetic hardener.
Follow that up with the three Shield PRs and then a Capacitor Power Relay so you can maintain the three hardeners.
That should give you enough mitigation to kill the Battleships. You may want to kill the frigs and Cruisers first though, since they die faster and you can dispose of their DPS faster. -------------- What good are actions if there's no one to tell the tale afterward?

Edited by: SpaceDrake Storyteller on 26/05/2006 07:17:13 Yes. The Angels use Explosive missiles and artillery howitzers and autocannons for their guns. Just about all of them do Explosive and Kinetic damage, mostly explosive. -------------- What good are actions if there's no one to tell the tale afterward?

As I said, sub out the corestab for a Capacitor Power Relay to keep your cap recharge rate even with your hardeners.
Fitting corestabs is fitting to lose. -------------- What good are actions if there's no one to tell the tale afterward?

Yep, as mentioned above: explosive and kinetic active hardeners, kill the frigates first as they die relatively easily and you can remove their DPS... try it on easier missions killing the cruisers first and then the same mission again killing the frigates first, the latter seems to cause less damage to your shields.
The only difference I have to the above set-up is that I use one hardener of each type, and fit a medium shield booster (so technically an active/passive hybrid).... from experience turning it on and off allows me to hold my shields in the 35% region where they recharge fastest, so it makes both the passive tank work more efficiently and extends the time the tank will last for (have to drain the cap before it fails). Certainly it helped this week when my flippin drones agro'd the whole of a deadspace and I had 10 cruisers, 8 frigates and 3 sentries handing it to me....
Also, the link below will give you the info on this mission, well worth looking at Angel Extravaganza Mission
