C'mon fellas, dig up those repressed memories of what actually happened!!!
OK, my most n00b pirate act happened in the days of way back. I had just gotten a Tristan, and loaded it up with the latest and greatest (or so I thought) T1 equipment. Since the Tristan was the most expensive frigate, I felt that I could handle just about anything.
OK, so off to a 0.4 system I go. I'm warping around the belts and then... by chance, me, and two other guys warp into the same belt at the same time. And, there was a lonely Imicus there trying to nick some Jaspet. So, everyone jumped on that poor guy, and I thought for sure I made some new friends for attacking the same target instead of them.
Next thing I know, I'm being targetted... I didn't understand why either, I was screaming in local 'Guys, I'm a pirate too!!!' What a noob I was, becuase that didn't seem to make much a difference. Speaking of effectiveness, my Tristan wasn't doing a very good job defending itself either. The neat looking Vexor turned out the be an Ishtar... boy, what an introduction. It took me another week to replace that Tristan.

Suppose I'll have to share this.. Not really a story about embarrassing piracy, more about an embarrassed pirate.
I was in Empire to pick up a few skills and whatnot, and decided to fit a cruiser and go out pirating. So I fit a vexor with all t2/best named stuff and go at it. An hour or two later I had killed a couple of pilots and several shadow serpentis ships of various sizes that came in my way. My cargo hold is filled to the brim with expensive loot. So I think, "Alright, that's enough for today" and begin warping to a gate. While flagged. I didn't notice it until I was halfway to the gate with my AB on, then the sentries started wailing on me and I was dead in a few shots.
I'm in my pod and think "Damn it! Need to get my stuff back before someone comes and steals it!" So I dock at the nearest station, grab a Velator and was just about to undock when I saw a couple of modules I was going to move to another station, so I figured I'd grab em now to save time. I undocked. And the sentries popped me again.

Ummm... I dunno, maybe this one:
There's a really hard to catch guy who hangs around Molden Heath (he can stay un-named), we were looking around the system for him and found him at a gate. I landed within scrambling range of him, and I have no idea why, but I just locked and scrambled him, went boom, and didn't realise what happened until a few minutes later when a corpmate asked me why I'd attacked in front of sentries. I wasn't drunk or anything, I hadn't been in 0.0 recently, I just attacked him without thinking.

Most embarressing pirate experience? How about the time I heard my wife come home and I came downstairs wearing just a pirate hat an eyepatch and a pair of skull and crossbones boxershorts only to find her mother standing there with her

I wish I could say it's been weeks, months even, since I had an embarrassing pirating experience.
Yesterday, me and some mates are hunting targets in Syndicate, and the gang leader asks if someone could go sit on the other side of a gate. I volunteer, and jump through in my blasterax, which I'd already gotten a couple of kills with that day.
On the other side is an inty, hugging the gate. It took me so long to feed info to my gang that I uncloaked 10km away, and didn't realize it until he targeted me and brought in his buddy in an Apoc, while I'm trying to catch an inty in a cruiser. I think my buddies killed the apoc, at least.
Live and learn.

hunting through lowsec systems to find a cataclyst in a belt picking up his cans. i went to it in my rifter, scramble web, fire away... the guy didnt shoot back...
weird i thought... suddenly i get a huuuuuuuge lagspike and im in my pod.
i was thinking like: WOW, i didnt know a catalyst had so much power that it can pop a frig in one volley
5 minutes later i realised i was in a 0.5 system just between all the 0.4 systems

My first kill got me that pretty red thing with "crimes" on it... so I thought I'd leave the system into 0.5 space to be safe. As I arrive 15km from the 0.4 gate everything looks cool... then suddenly boom goes I. Grr... what a n00b. Still... never did that again :)
Then... there was the time I'd just jumped into a new ship and engaged a dude in a belt... race up to him... f1 thru f5... orb at 2k... wait.... wait... into armour... keep going... he's not firing back... armour half gone... wait... and he warps away. WTF thinks I - he fitting stabs on a frig? Then replayed the fraps and realised that I'd not changed the button layout and my scrable wasn't on f5 and I didn't push it on...
Or how about the time I found 2 mining barges in a 0.4 system... so took one down in my punisher and the other warped out. I stuck around for a few mins while doing looking at his crate... and his mate warps back in an apoc. Which I promptly engaged since I didn't realise what it was. ..

most embarrasing moment in recent memory:
Roaming around solo in a tempest. I finding an icebelt with 2 BSs, 3 BCs, and a cruiser or 2. Rasta thinks to himself, 'with some good piloting and careful tactics, I shall own them all...think of all the loot....MUUHAHAHAHHHA'.
Warped into the belt, only to find they actually had pvp fittings and ecm.

Heh, stupidest moment of mine was first day pirating in a Scorpion - I'm sitting at a gate in Evati, when I see a hauler jump in. Being new, I didn't have a sensor booster on, so before I could get a lock and jam it, it warped to the Anher gate - now people in that area of the galaxy know that right next to Evati is Arnher, which is lowsec, and Anher, which is 0.5 space...with CONCORD in it .
Hit the gate, it jumps before I can open up, so I follow it through the gate...first thing I see when I load on the other side is something like "The outlaw Sakura Nihil has entered this system, we will uphold Minmatar law!!!", and a large CONCORD blob. Knowing my chances of survival are now about nil, I haul ass much ass to the gate as possible, and get about 2km before CONCORD nukes me  . 20mil in insurance and some decent mods down the drain, as well as now having a reputation for doing stupid things from my (now ex-) corpmates  .
Since then I've always double-checked the sec rating of the system I'm about to jump into  .

Sitting at a planet for about 20 minutes scanning, wondering why I kept seeing lots of ships disspaearing in a belt. Then realising I had a gate in my scan range.

So I'm pirating with a friend of mine, just learning, really. I'm in an Incursus, he's in a Rifter, and we're hunting in the Otou area. We scan the belts, finding a Brutix ratting. "Cool. Let's get him. We took on a pair of them the other day." "Yeah, but those two were mining and had **** drone skills." "How much harder could it be?"
About a minute later, we were to be seen warping away in our pods.

Not embarassing at the time, but now I think it is:
My Pirate Brutix Setup:
Highs: 4x 250mm Railgun I, 3x Light Neutron Blaster I
Mids: 1x Ship Scanner I, 1x 7.5km Warp Scrambler, 1x Cargo Scanner I, and a 10mn AB I.
Lows: Medium Armour Repairer I, 2x Gryostabiliser I, and some other crap I can't remember.
There are sooooooo many flaws with this setup it's obscene. The sad thing is that I got 13 ship kills and 2 pod kills in it before it went *pop*

Jumping in on a nice juicy Thorax to kill (I love killing rax pilots, they're so arrogant) and realizing I've forgotten to fit my warp scram. Doh.
Or jumping in to kill a BS w/ my cruiser and realizing I've fitted the wrong racial ECM. Double DOH.

Not really an embarasing story for me, but one I had a good chuckle about with some corpmates at the time.
During my days as a scumbag pirate, a bounty hunter (dont recall his name) caught me in my scorp at a gate (0.1), he starts shooting and scrambles me, I had no back up and he had a good tank. Anyways i warp scramble him, target jam him and LOL in local as he swears and screams for help as the sentry guns blow him up  . Lesson learned I think...

Jumping into the 0.5 that seperates Aunenen from Tartoken in a plated Sacrielge, while seriously drunk and attempting to convince half of Snigg on TS that I could make it on an insta.
The Caldari Navy thought otherwise.
All I remember is crawling back towards the gate at 4m/sec (with my afterburner on) while being webbed, scrambled, target jammed, painted, graffitied on, missile spammed, shot at and genreally just ravaged by the Caldari Navy and several bystanders, all while Schroni almost had a heart attack laughing on TS as he watched.
Still, I tanked them for a couple of minutes

How about stupid stuff other ppl have done? Some guy in local asks my corpmate if she wants to help kill me. Sure she says, add me to your gang. "oh, I seem to have located him!" she says. They warp in, he starts shooting me, I start shooting back. She starts shooting him, he goes pop.
About 5 min later he's on his way out of the system in a shuttle, STILL in convo w/ my corpmate, when he finally realizes after looking at the killmail she got the final blow on his ship LOL.

Just came back from a night out and decided to play a bit of eve, I logged into FD in syndicate to find xpohoc and tinuk online who said there were 4 bs camping pf.
Im like lets go, and *****ing at them for taking their time setting their ships up, so finally we get to undock and I warp us all to the pf gate. There was us 3 V theor 4, so no need for tricks and we would all just jump in at the same time and warp to the orvolle gate and engage. So I tell the other 2 to jump and Im met with a mass of laughter with the occasional fool/idiot thrown in, getting really ****ed off at theis point with all their time wasted Im about to let out a yell at them when I see the focus of their humour...So I rather quickly dock in my shuttle and pick up my battleship.
If xpohoc were still active he could probably write 5 pages of my drunken expeditions, just as I write that I remember another.
A few days after the 'yulai event' Tundragon were out in syndicate hunting with Zombies and Space Invaders, laying down the law and wasting norad/arcadia. At this time I was on a dial up connection and had lots of crashes in small fleet battles. So anyway, we head up to 4c in outer ring to do war on Black Nova corp and hook up with some of the old ors guys and blast a few ships, Norad not liking this begin to assemble a fleet, but wont engage a second time, as we fairly trashed their fleet when we first jumped in (at that point my connection was fine and holding up to the stress of drones and ships). Someone further down the pipe to fd had spotted a celestial apoc fleet of ravens and scorps, I think yummy lets go get them before they get a chance to teem up with norad.
So off we head in our pirate setups to do war on Darth and his bunch of killers, we finally bump into them and decide to sit off from there fleet at long range and see what we can pick off, being slightly outnumber and totally outgunned due to our setups we didnt actually kill much, maybe a cruiser (I dont really know), Im getting really annoyed as I am in a blasterthron and cant hit jack so.....
I bookmark a can in the middle of their fleet and warp out and back in..yelling a warcry over ts

Lifewire did this in pf and was like oh ****, then it accured to him that the damm thing wasnt shooting at all, a few hrs later...bye bye naga pos, dudes didnt re-fuel it, then TRS did the same thing a month later when naga replaced it and it yet again ran outta fuel.

i was in my incursus, doing some pirating. i stumble across a probe and osprey mining (well, the probe was mining, the osprey had a combat fit). probe (or was it rifter? i forget) warped off, and i engage the osprey. right then i crash, so i log back in, and the osprey is still there, so i re-engage. close fight, but in the end i won and locked the pod, and was gonna ransom.
problem was, i was in structure, so i started running my rep. i ran out of cap, no more scram, pod warped off
other embarrasing moments, warping to a station while flagged towards the station owner, getting podded by a stealth bomber out of frikken nowhere (damn you mangold! :P ), taking my incursus up against an apoc and then being nossed + webbed + scrammed and held in place till backup arrived to kill me slowly, and theres more moments but i've said enough
