That doesn't quite say that it's a regular gate. It simply says that it's the first "player built gate". I wouldn't take that as confirmation or denial of it being a "regular" gate. (Unless there is something I'm missing there.) |

If you think the devs will build a one-time mechanic to allow players to build a gate on top of the Eve Gate, you got another thing coming.
If they do (and I enjoy the delicious drama from "why did you waste so much dev time on this crap"), if you think players will get anywhere near organized enough to actually do it themselves, without destroying each other, I have a bridge here to sell you. The Amarr Navy is unnecessary and would be less successful at screwing up a player efforts than players already are at it. No. I don't think that. I also think it unlikely that they are simply going to allow run of the mill startgates to be built either. "Build stargates to replace the ones that you now get to blow up" hardly seems like an expansion theme. No idea what they intend, though. |

I personally don't think they would waste time on that.
I could see them wasting time on a gate type that goes much farther than existing gates; or even a gate structure that can punch artificial wormholes ala Sansha's technology. Removal of jump bridges and their replacement with a disruptable, publicly-accesible player-built gate system would be cool. Reduce null holders' advantage, add new harassment tactic. Rifterlings - newbie-friendly swashbuckling corp ("weflyrifters" in-game channel). Join today! www.rifterlings.com

We will get to construct stable gates around k-space wormholes (within a certain time frame) its as simple as that, from their others can create stable gates between other wormholes. |
