I'm gonna throw in for this even though I'm not sure I qualify, as always :)

What will SSO do for your sites users? For example beyond user management does your site have a commenting system?
it depends on what we can do beyond just authenticating users to accounts. it would allow my site to be more secure as I do not need to hold password or security data, thus letting people feel a bi more confident in use of the site. If using having an Authenticated call would allow me access to more crest end point there are many new features I can provide in relation to stats, if SSO will even work for dust accounts.

A link to your web site?
https://element-43.com We're a completely open, neutral open source project.
What will SSO do for your sites users? For example beyond user management does your site have a commenting system?
SSO would greatly simplify the whole registration/activation/password recovery process for our ~600 users. We could also verify corporation/alliance membership which would enable us to finally add some proper management tools for corps and alliances. On top of that SSO would nicely integrate into our existing REST API allowing us to create private read/write API endpoints providing access to aggregated personal market data (watchlist, shopping list...), industry project status reports, notifications...
How many developers are working on your site
Currently I am maintaining the project on my own, which is a little sad - there are 2-3 more or less active developers who have contributed code in the past.
I'd really love to have more devs working on the project again. It's a shame that I have to dedicate most of the time I'm spending on element43 to maintenance work like managing the servers, updating the SDE and static assets or optimizing backend code - that's stuff most users won't notice. Since large parts of the boilerplate code required for an universal 3rd party EVE web application (market data consumer, full SDE import scripts and their ORM models, fronted layout, basic REST API, registration/authentication, API key management, lots of market data views, asynchronous EVE API import and error handling code etc.) have already been written, the whole thing is just waiting for someone to add features to it. So if you're reading this and you are a developer, please consider contributing to element43. I have written a tutorial and automated setup script for a dev environment for you.
We offer secure hosting, documentation, probably the largest EVE market data database in the world and a solid codebase which allows you to add new features very fast. I don't really know what else one could offer as an open 3rd party EVE tool today.
Sorry for that rant - it just saddens me that progress has been so slow in the past year, even though it would be so simple to add a wealth of features for our users if we just had 2-3 more active devs.

Hey CPP Foxfour
I would be interested in helping out, I do not have a website, but I am a web developer, and I work with the microsoft development stack, and have created web applications that use the new aspnet identity 2.0, with single sign on using OAuth (and other technologies), WebApi and bearer token validation for web based action verification, along with signalr for live server side push messaging integrated with biometric verification. Basically I can do SSO from anywhere, and even if permitted send notification of skill completion to connected clients be they a web client or a phone. I anyone wants help with this If am available to help out.

I didn't post in this thread initially because it stated it was only for EVE SSO. However I'm going to echo Ferria's request and ask for SSO support for Dust, and offer my site for when it is availab.e
Site: http://dusttimers.com/ Why I want SSO: It would allow me to authenticate a user as belonging to a corp. I'd then be able to open up editing of corp timers such as
- descriptions, allowing people to flag if it is an attack, training op, etc.
- Link timers from one corp to another. Members could log in, indicate that they are a ringers for a battle, and the timer would then be listed when corp members check.

Hey guys,
The SSO trial so far is going amazingly well. We are however taking a bit longer to get ready for the next step, opening up for anyone to register freely.
Due to that taking longer we would like to continue accepting more people into the limited trial. If you would like to be considered, and we reserve the right to pick and choose who we want, please consider the following requirements and then apply in this thread.
- You must be using this for a web application. Downloadable applications will have to wait until we open it up.
- Your web site must be open to the public and not charge or restrict access in anyway.
- No gambling web sites.
- We also consider people who are looking to make open source plugins, like someone who is creating a plugin for EDK.
If you are wondering whats required in implementing the SSO check out the documentation here: https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/EVE_SSO_Documentation
I am out for the weekend now. Be sure to keep an eye on your EVE mail to see if we contact you. :)

I see you are trying to replace me already.
FYI, I am already working on an EDK comment plugin to let people post comments using SSO. It is mostly working, but I need to add a few more features and some better error handling. It will be open source and free to everyone CSM 7 Secretary CSM 6 Alternate Delegate @two_step_eve on Twitter My Blog

Something completely ... different, but slightly related. Many (most? all?) of the sites currently supporting SSO still trigger this warning when following links to them on the forums.
This warning might be good for links that are not directly affiliated with CCP. But when those not too aware are being presented with the SSO page from such sites, some might start to wonder. EVE Infolinks -+-áOld and new-áPortraits |

It's out of my control, but I will bring it up with our community and web teams and see what they think. Thanks for bringing this up though, completely did not think about it. :) CCP FoxFour // Game Designer // @RegnerBA |

I've previously done extensive work on an EVE website that has since fallen into disrepair since I moved over servers and didn't reconfigure it. One of the biggest reasons I never got back into developing it is that I was faced with having to do a pain in the arse work-around by sending authentication codes via 1 isk donation reasons and the likes.
I'd be interested in starting up development again if I could find a better way of handling user registration and EVE account binding, and SSO seems like an ideal solution.
I've got nothing to show at the moment though, lest I go spend a bunch of time setting it up again. If there's not much uptake in this round, I'd be interested in trying the SSO for it. If not I'll wait until it goes public. |

Just asking, are you planning to release official plug in for SSO for common forum/CMS software like XenForo, SMF, IP.B, vBulletin or we have to wait for third party developers? |

I'm currently working on a web-based alliance intel tool and would love to be able to integrate eve SSO. The chief difficulty with this tool it keeping it tethered to the game's IGB (due to headers sent) and this would allow me to permit out-of-game viewing with the tool as well. It's a node.js application that relies on these headers to determine details about a pilot and her position within the game's universe authoritatively.
CCP FoxFour: The details of the app are mostly ~opsec~, so if you have any other questions about it feel free to hit me up in game and I'll be more than happy to elaborate further. |

There's not too much public on the site right now but I've just added a blurb to show what it's all about: https://www.posthing.net/
SSO will just be used for basic auth, but I'd love to get more involved as this eventually leads to authenticated CREST. |

Hi CCP FoxFour,
I would like to apply to the SSO Trial.
I'm the developer behind POLARISv2 (http://vserver.zap.de.com/), a webpage with several tool mostly directed at small scale PvPers. I have features for shopping, creating custom related kills, and other stuff.
My registration system is based on API-Keys so far, which isn't quite ideal. Corporation information is important when it comes to sharing shopping lists or battle reports with only selected people.
I'm currently considering a rework of the code into different technology, integrating SSO at this point would be very comfortable.
