Has anyone failed a mission for a reason other than bugs/ctds/being stuck in a system.
Yet again tonight I fail another mission, this time because the system I need to go to causes you to get stuck. Ive done maybe 150 missions in total, failed about 9, all of them due to problems with the game rather than something I've done. And as it takes 3 missions to get back rep wise what you lose due to failing, thats a good bit of online time wasted.
Maybe I've just had a run of bad luck, anyone else failing much due to bugs etc?

Nope all my failed missions (9 of them) have been down to bugs/crashes, server reboots with short notice or player getting stuck at jumpgates...

Same here, all except one (when I forgot to click on the agent to get my reward before logging off for the night...) of my failures has been through getting stuck or some other bug. Last night I failed a mission that completed early (probably because I had accidently actived earlier by looking at the description). The annoying thing was that I accepted it as normal and would have made it in the end except my autopilot was playing up...very frustrating.
It starts to wear a bit thin after a while, last couple of times I've got stuck I haven't even bothered petitioning - I just log for the night and wait until tomorrow.

I havent failed a mission, so much as not completed one. The first mission of the agent tutorial was to deliver some exam papers or something, but I suffered a ctd. There is no time limit to the mission, but being as this is my second char, I never bothered to finish the mission and rejoined my corp instead. The mission is still active, but I lost my noob ship in an encounter with some blood seekers and the datapads with it. Now that they are giving out implants etc with agent missions, I want to be able to do them, but I cant due to this active mission that I cannot finish. Is this the kind of thing that I can petition someone to sort out, or have I burnt my bridges? --------- ----------------------------------------------- Fortune favours the bold - unfortunately Im a coward. |

Well, I failed a "search and destroy" mission, because it required 74 jumps(for a lvl 2 agent). While the GM said it was not a bug, he adjusted the area in which the random place for the NPC could be chosen in the future...
All the others are failed because of bugs, either 1. Stuck, 2. NPC not dropping what it's supposed to or 3. Mission became active without me hitting accept.

I noticed increased number of missions that have expiration time when offered (you don't even have to accept them to fail).
I had about 10 of these in 15 missions i did last night and i failed one due to not be in mood to make big travel required by mission.
I wish CCP would sort this out so that mission can fail only after accepted.
You can track these mission by chosing talk to agnet and then checking out your mission journal.
If mission said it will expire X time upon acceptance its OK one but lately lots of them have expiration time before being even accepted.
Which makes them forced upon us.
Last two mission I have failed were both of this nature and both just before downtime.
