Made way back in 1985 and only just "re-found".

Ill apologies for snapping at you there, I have a verry low tolerance for that hac. I'm normally fairly pleasant regarding art, really. |

As previously stated,I apologies for the reaction. Rather ott of me. Still don't like worhal myself ,however the influence is still around so regardless of how I might feel about it, He's important.
Pop art tics me off and Warhol more so than most and again, sorry for the overreaction.
Regardless, I'm glad to see some more art related linkage here .
lucian freud would be a favorite of mine , along side Caravaggio (not particularly relevant to your link but I feel I owe you some context) |

Nice link K.I., it is interesting.
I think the fame of Basquiat and Jackson Pollack's art really (super really) bothers me. At least Warhol gave us a unique concept of art presentation (how a piece is presented with colors and structure, instead of the content of the piece itself which may be generic and uninspired) which has broad impact in advertising, amongst other things.
I felt the same way about Picasso until I discovered more of his past.
Please don't make a surrealism thread because I won't be able to stop myself from making super long wall of text posts. They had to kick me out of an exhibit in Vancouver one time because I lost track of the time (and my date..).
Edit: I'll link my favorite Caravaggio (warning: blood) for Orla. Take solace knowing that even after the sun sets, and your sky is filled with darkness, that the sun is still shining. -D. Entervention Psychotic Monk joins BNI |

You should get down to Houston sometime. The Menil Collection has a permanent collection of Surrealism so large it's been rotating in and out for decades. Ernst, deChirico, Tanguy, Magritte. It's endless. "He has mounted his hind-legs, and blown crass vapidities through the bowel of his neck."-á - Ambrose Bierce on Oscar Wilde's Lecture in San Francisco 1882 |

Looks very proto. When weapons, technology, and economies mature faster than the leadership culture entrusted with them, disaster ensues. http://i.minus.com/ibeZ0sJewvDMBN.gif |
