I just signed up for my trial of eve and I can't get Eve open on my macbook, It runs fine on my Bootcamp partion but id love to play it on my mac os, I have tried dozens of fixes found online such as deleting files creating files, using the repair tool, reinstalling my client, etc etc, I just cannot find a way to get it to work, any ideas/suggestions? This is a serious deal breaker for me/: |

We won't be able to help much without an accurate description of the problem.
1) Are you able to open at all? 2) If you are able to open to a certain point, where does it fail? 3) Does it give an error message? 4) Have you checked the wiki or forums (figuring yes as you state you have tried fixes, but need to ask)? 5) Have you submitted a support ticket? 6) What version OS are you running?
Honestly the newbie Q&A isn't a great place to be posting for this. You'd have better luck in the technical section. Additionally, if you are on twitter you could ask #tweetfleet to see if anyone has had similar issues that they were able to resolve themselves. The community is pretty helpful there. You need to turn off a fun new feature that Apple threw at us...
Your Mac will no longer ask if you want to run downloaded programs, it just won't do it. You can change the settings in order to run downloaded files. I cannot remember what the setting is, it was mentioned on the Eve client download site. I ignored it and my client wouldn't run untill I went back and read the instructions :)
Running Eve natively on the Mac is easier than trying to run Bootcamp. Eve will run quite happily on a MacBook Air, or whatever you have.
I hope this helps :)

The launcher opens but when I try to open it, the icon for the game shows up and most of the time the sound for the intro will play, but no screen comes up 2.) it never crashes, it will just stay there doing nothing but playing sound 3.) nope, no error message 4.)yes, a great many of them 5.)I have not, I figured I'd try this first 6.) whatever the latest version of mavericks is |

Since your on a trial account you wont be able to post here, but maybe a mod will be willing to move this thread for you. The best way to get help with issues like this is the Issues, Workarounds & Localization section of the forums, so read over the threads there and you might find someone with a similar issue.

Do you think the game is opening in a different Desktop? Have you checked all the Desktops (four finger swipe up) to see the window isn't in one of them? Take solace knowing that even after the sun sets, and your sky is filled with darkness, that the sun is still shining. -D. Entervention Psychotic Monk joins BNI |

Austin, does the Mac launcher have an option to start in Safe Mode? https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/EVE_Launcher
