That is what Techell probably paid for the miner II bps.
That's right. They PAID for the bps. Geez, I guess if I paid that much for a bp, I would sell it for 10k isk profit a pop...I'd only have to sell what? 100,000 miner ii's?
I don't know the whole story, but I assumed any corp could have bid on the 2 (of 5) miner II bps given to those who took part in the jovian event, had they actually had the isk. Techell was the one who won the bidding process.
If you want to get angry, how about all those corps reserving it for "internal use" only? I'd get madder at that - did Techell pay extra to insure a monopoly?
Of course, that the bps aren't in wide release is a bit of taking favorites. Get mad at CCP, it seems to be all in the vogue these days :)
Or go earn your billion isk, and since isk is king, live like one. |

2-3bil ....dont think so.. someone was trying to sell an original miner 2 bp for 1billion not long after techell started selling miner II's...... and CCP should have realised the people with miner 2 bp's were getting an unfair advantage age's ago one that will likely effect who the most powerful corp's are for aslong as eve is alive.

Look guys. Who cares if Techell have 20000000 bilion isk ?
I have never even SEEN a techell ship. I have no idea where they live and I don't care.
It would just be silly if all tech 2 items were easily accessible and cheap - we would end up with the same problems that we have with the tech 1 stuff.

I could only get 10 miner IIs from them I had to get another 8 from someone else who charged a great deal more than them. So I assume your definition of Monopoly is person selling at the price you want. So the bottom line is really you dont wanna pay 4.5 million for a miner II you wanna pay 2.5, but since the waiting list is long (or now mega which you cant mine) you call it a monopoly.
Lets crunch some numbers...
Miner II MSRP... 4 mil....60 ore Cu Vapor MSRP... 2.5 mil..49 ore XeCL MSRP....... 1.5 mil..44 ore
Now lemme say this, look at the huge price difference in the XeCL and the Cu Vapor. This is what ****es me off, people think that its at the bottom of the friggen chain because there is a new Miner II on the market!!! Well lemme tell you all something its only 5 ore units different. I sold all mine for 2 mil because there is no way just because a new miner, that most of you are too cheap to pay for, comes out that Im gonna lower my price just to make people happy. If you cant afford it shut up and go make money!!!!!!
OMG, that feels so much better

You mine for 23 hours a day... Techell get a Miner II BPC, they hit produce, log off, sleep for 23 hours, log back on, sell all the Miner II's and they have made a billion in a DAY.
We mine for 23 hours and we get 77,280,000 million. Thats not right.
Don't Kill The Corp.. Kill the Suppliers. |
