1) EVE is already one of the cruelest MMOs on the market with the steepest learning curve and the worst new subscriber retention (and if you need a citation on that check the New Player Extoperience panel at Fanfest). Things are hard now for newbros, imagine how much harder they would be if as soon as they undock they are at the mercy of trigger-happy people. Imagine how many players that mostly do PvE or Production or Exploration would feel about knowing there is now no way to protect yourself from pirates or people that want your stuff. That there is no safe-place. Trust me subscriptions would drop and new subscriptions would be as rare as a Jove ship in empire space. 2)People will organize and police themselves because there's no other way. Anarchy is only a temporary state. Every system tends to seek equilibrium. 3) CFC PL/NC RUS etc etc - let's be serious now THE Empires (npc) stand no chance in front of the capsuleers.

I think he meant that the old empires would have to crumble BEFORE high sec went away
And you dont think that the NPC Empires stand a chance in a frontal engagement?
Uhhh CONCORD?
For any attempt to annex an Empire system to work, a Nulliance would have to choke the system with corpses in order of CCP to see that thney were genuinely trying to take it, and MAYBE (3% chance) they might just ease CONCORD off to reflect that the Nulliance had acheived something
If there was a mechanism for Nulliances to ally with or declare war against NPC Empires though, that would be a game changer "A naughty sarcastic nun that's come to whip me with a ruler." - Domanique Altares "If someone doesn't appreciate your presence, make them appreciate your absence." - Anon. |

CONCORD is forcefully empowered by the devs in order to keep the status-quo of the High-Sec. If CONCORD battleships would deal as much damage as a player battleship with the exact fit, capsuleers would mop the space-time continuum floor with CONCORD. But the fact that a volley from CONCORD and you die screaming is a very good detterent agains shooting them. Thus CONCORD is strong in order to keep high-sec well...High-Sec. Add an endless supply of ships and yea CONCORD is GOD. But if the NPC Empires would function by the same rules as players, trust me you would have crowned the Mittani guy as Emperor by now.

Sorry, but I dont know who these "devs" you speak of are
"CONCORD stands for Consolidated Cooperation and Relations Command. CONCORD was founded over a century ago, not long after the five empires had established contact with each other.
Relationships between the five empires were strained right from the start and one of the main purposes of CONCORD was to ease the fragile tension and create a foundation for the empires to work their differences out in a peaceful manner.
In this regard, the workings of CONCORD can be said to have been successful, since the empires have kept the peace over the last century. On numerous occasions relationships deteriorated to within an inch of all out war, but through the efforts of CONCORD a compromise solution has always been found."

I bit of thread necromancy here but...
Was poking around the market as I do from time to time....
...and this is the result I think since the last patch...this is how most graphs for planetary commodities look like...so....I was right...just saying...
Less people doing P.I.....leading to prices in commodities going down...

Volumes are up, prices are down. Yes, that sure is a nerf and lots and lots of taxes being passed on to the consumer. Wait what? GÇ£If you're not willing to fight for what you have in GëívGëí you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.GÇ¥

so you mean I have to go through the ardous task of finding new planets and then dismantling already running P.I.-factories and build new ones....just so that then later another corp takes over their planets too or RvB they themselves choose to put a higher tax...
....doesn't sound like a good plan I must say....
....when doing P.I. one really wants to calculate on forehand what the profit will be...theese farkin new taxes just makes it harder...
1. Go to low sec in a cloaky hauler... 2. Make more isk than you ever would in high sec. 3. Win
I have been doing it in low sec for years, and not once have I been close to losing my hauler. Just dont do it in Amamke or some other pirate hub... |

Anyon else noted that poco Export Tax seems to be 4-5% higer than stated tax on poco vs actual marked value on the products exported,I have filed a bug report on it,but not sure it is a bug maybe just 1 more built in isk sink hole |
