They do look nice, but 99% of the time I'm orienting my camera away from the sun so as not to be blinded.
I find that without a good mob to provide one for them, most people would have no mentality at all. |

How about adding physical plasma (as opposed to just optical) stellar flares erupting on our stars? Like this http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/e3/Magnificent_CME_Erupts_on_the_Sun_-_August_31.jpg W-Space Realtor |

I do hope the settings to disable or reduce this so older PCs don't go nova will be available along with this feature's launch. |

Very cool looking! But most of the time I wish we had some sort of space-sunglasses because of how bright stars actually are in-game.
It's like I'm almost actually outside for once. |

An option to filter out bright spots (i.e. solar system star/sun and clouds/nebula/whatever) is needed. Think of this as a pair of sunglasses, like polarized lenses or similar.

I love that stuff.
I also liked the secondary lighting you showed at Fanfest (with the Hurricane getting the blue hue of the nearby oceanic planet). It would be great if you could ship that soon-ish. :) "I will not hesitate when the test of Faith finds me, for only the strongest conviction will open the gates of paradise. They certainly do look spectacular! (Although I'll have to make a comparison to the current as I haven't paid THAT much attention to it in a long time.)
However, does raise a question in my mind. Has the actual stars themselves (up close) been touched graphically in any recent graphic updates? |

This.
Lens. Flares.
Are much MUCH different than "solar flares".....not sure how someone associated with anything "spaceship" related could get the two confused.

Would really love it if looking at these bright objects would make the background stars and nebulae fade to black to at least give a more correct experience. |

Dear Devs,
In keeping with the theme of making EVE gritty and realistic as possible, please consider making the solar glare scale realistically. At 50 AU even betelgeuse, a stupidly massive star, would appear to be a tiny point of light in black empty space. I know people appreciate fancy graphics, but please the lighting levels are blinding.
Sincerely, Adroc Novac |

I would love to see this, and also a realistic star internal. Getting too close to planets, moons, stars, etc and the graphics completely break (and therefor so does the immersion). This doesn't happen all that often, but I feel like it's unfortunate when it does :( Especially since I love making safe spots within about 150km of the exact center of a star.
