Standard drops from relic sites have drastically decreased. I'm seeing sites with over half the cans having single stacks of worthless t1 salvage and a total value of less than 10M where the same sites pre-patch would be worth 40-80M without factoring in blueprints. That isn't a 30% drop change like what was in the patch notes. Other high end sites are also full of cans that have nothing of value whatsoever. My numbers are looking like a 75%+ nerf compared to pre-Kronos numbers. Admittedly, it's the first day, and I've only run about 9 or 10 sites post-patch. But something seems up.
I also think data site drop rates have decreased far beyond the 30% nerf, but it's hard to argue that worthless suddenly became more worthless. 30% of 0 is still 0. |

What, you mean to say that random drop chance combined with a really small sample size may result in numbers that don't necessarily follow the average? You better get to Jita and lock the monument about it. |

I figured there'd be the usual General Discussion crowd to show up and immediately shitpost that I know nothing about math. I'm just surprised it took so long. |

grr Loot tables?
Also, you know the responses you will get when you post in GD, so why post at all when this is not an appropriate place to discuss it? "PvE in EVE is a trap to turn you into PvP content, don't confuse it for actual gameplay." Lipbite |

When they changed the loot tables in Odyssey, it took a few days before they had them working right.
I would not be surprised in the slightest if that were the case this time as well. "Verily, I have often laughed at the weaklings who thought themselves good because they had no claws."

Because I know devs read it, and I know they can take a look at the loot tables. |

FTFY.
I highly doubt that you have run enough sites by yourself this morning to even have a proper sample size.

Seems to be admitting that the sample size is insufficient but is registering an observation. Move along! |

I don't know too much math, but I ran 5 relic sites tonight in null sec and I got a grand total of 50 mil worth of loot for my efforts.
Here's an evepraisal link: http://evepraisal.com/e/2534860
This looks like a larger nerf than 30% to me. |

i ran a lot of sites on SiSi, and yeah, i know that there's no competition there and that spawns pile up. but even taking that into consideration after X amnt of sites i got more on SiSi than i did on live.
my sample was small, on live i ran 32 sites only serpentis, on SiSi about 20 gurista and a about 10 serp, loot drop value at the end was the same, keep in mind that gurista space decs are cheaper. volume was higher on the SiSi sample, mainly because i loot it all from the cans and you get a lot of crap.
should also be mentioned that i don't use cargo scan, neither on Tq or on SiSi. i clean the sites, so probably you were in sites that were already hit by some of those annoying cargo scanners. doing exploration on patchday of a patch that brings a LOT of stuff that drops in lowsec is a BAD idea, space is full of part time explorers looking for a quick buck right now.
one thing i did notice is, there's even more salvage now. -.-' i guess we should be thankful its volume is so small. |

Patch notes are a helluva drug.

The number stated on the forum was a 30% decrease (after an original plan of 50%). You are not getting more things from your sites.
Bonus: the latest nullsec data site I came across. (the BPCs are worthless) |

Any discussion of statistics is meaningless without an actual statistics test.
Calculate what sample size you need for a sufficient confidence level. Run the sites until you have a sufficient sample. Run an independent samples t-test. (I think that's the proper one to be using here?) "Pretty much all 14 of the CSM were in favor of a drone assign nerf for OBVIOUS gameplay reasons" - Sala Cameron

(I think that's the proper one to be using here?) Yet that isn't true. You can draw inferences & trends from an insufficient sample size, especially when several independent operators are all noticing the same trends. It just means they may not be global trends. And that something else may be significantly skewing the data potentially. However CCP have access to the direct raw data so can answer this far faster than us trying to gather the data ourselves by samples. |
