There was previously a topic about this, but there was no official answer, hopefully there would be one now :) What I'm hoping for is an actual ISD / CCP answer, not some random rambling.
ISD members have posted and it's very clear thar RMT (real money trading) is forbidden. What falls off as a grey area is trading ISK to some points/currency of other virtual game.
It could be especially fishy if the other games allows virtual currency to be traded back to money, but in most cases this is not possible.
Is this kind of activity allowed or disallowed? Or does it 'depend'? |

I would guess it is not allowed. Not because I believe there is something that specifically says so in the EULA, but to avoid any potential drama involved with trading virtual currency between games. Marcus Gord: "Aspalis is an onion. Many layers, each one makes you cry." |

Zad Murrard:
The following is an excerpt from the EVE Online Terms of Service:
Quote:10. You may not market, sell, advertise, promote, solicit or otherwise arrange for the exchange or transfer of items in the game or other game services unless it is for in-game sales of in-game services or items.
11. The advertisement or sale of out of game goods and services not directly related to EVE online is prohibited. The only out of game goods and services which can be advertised or sold are the following: EVE forum signature creation, website and third party voice communication server hosting or EVE Time Codes.
The only interpretation I gather from these rules is that you cannot trade EVE assets for another game's assets.
Hope this helps and answers your question.

Strictly reading
10. talks of items & services -> ISK is neither item nor service, it is in game currency 11. talks of selling out of game goods -> If someone here advertises to trade ISK to something, that someone is not selling out of game goods, thus does not fall into 11
Comments :) ?
Edit: Now someone might claim that trading ISK is a service, I guess it depends a bit on the wording of the potential ad. However it is directly related to eve online and therefore the start of 11 is not valid either.
Edit2: Depending on what we want to call a service...selling gdocs sheets to help with eve online is not allowed, as it is defnitely something out of game. However that happens a lot. |

This is not permitted under our EULA, and any attempts at doing this will result in action being taken against any involved game accounts.
TL;DR - Don't do it, it's bad, it's against the rules, and you'll get banned.
