Hello all,
I've done wormholes before, but back in 2009/2010 when they were new. At that time it was most common for people to solo c3s not c4s. These days I see people posting around the place that they solo c4 wormhole sites.
I am looking to get back into wormholes soon. Do I need to have a marauder? Can it be done in a T3 or faction battleship? I do have a second account but it is not combat capable, so I'd be looking at a ship capable of true soloing c4s, if that is possible. I fly mainly amarr and gallente with some caldari and not much minmatar, but all suggestions welcome as I can train into something if needed.
Thanks |

Okay, you have a few options here...you could go the obvious tengu road...you can go the golem road...or you could go for a rattlesnake.
I'll EFT warrior a rattle fit for you. Hai |

Marauder would be the absolute best option for soloing C4 sites. Aside from that, you could probably do some of the easier ones in a relatively blingy T3. If you have friends, you can safely do them in RR Tengus with another person. |

You can do them in a Tengu (doesn't need that much bling) but it is slow. C4's are fairly slow solo regardless as many of the anoms have a fair amount of RR you have to overcome. It's less an issue of being able to tank the sites and more about burning through a wave with 3 Sleepless Preservers RR'ing their friends. |

I prefer running C4s with a Paladin because you can project from the middle of the site to all targets and the cap stability is great. A mobile depot makes for adapting to any situation easy and while the other marauders may utilize them as well; they suffer from having to keep ammo in the hold while a Paladin only has to bring a few small crystals. You could also do it in a T3 but you would have to spend a bit on mods and run all over the site while trying to avoid being capped out. For efficiency it is best to run with a Marauder.

with very good drone skills a carrier should work also if you can build one in there, but that makes the hole a long term commitment
