Currently there is no real risk in doing data / relic sites. People are using multistabed ships - i don't like nullsec to be similar to FW. Please bring back rats to relic / data sites. I relay miss the old days. Jump Fuel Usage Based on Ship Size Interdiction Siphon Unit |

No. Rats in sites also target attackers and make it harder for small, fast hunters.

It is hard to feel risk in a cloaky and 4-5 stabed / nullified ship.

At the beginning old magneto sites you where doing in a battleship or a well fitted Tech 3 cruiser. I think it is better to hunt for those ships.
1-2 scrabling frigate 2-4 cruisers 2-4 battleships
Thats what i ask. Something that Tier3 cruiser , or SOE cruiser can easily kill , but only when it will have mods not stabs in low. Jump Fuel Usage Based on Ship Size Interdiction Siphon Unit |

You cannot put 5 stabs on a Cover Ops, and with 4 stabs you cannot properly fit it with modules necessary for exploration. If you explore in a T3 or Stratios and someone notices you, you will have a fleet on your back very quickly.
A properly fitted Bomber is more than enough to destroy any explorer's dreams. Some people know what I am talking about.
However, I would find it interesting if some (new?) sites had rats in them. It always was quite a struggle to run these and I lost more than one ship in Angel Sparking Transmitters back in the days, because of Elite TPs and Elite frigate points and webs. With the mobile depots, it's also not much of a problem to come into a site ready for combat and then refit in the site for hacking. For solo players, however, T3 might be at a disadvantage here because of their severely limited cargo space. |

I'm aware what you say. Lowsec got buff - why not move more in this direction. Relic/data sites in lowsec without rats. Nullsec ones - having a rat spawns.

The risk should be in the hacking and not in random rats going about. Focus on the mini-game and add choices/consequences to it. Sovereignty and Population New Mining Mechanics |

I'm fine with that if at the same time we will add : (-5) Virus strength (-10) Virus Coherence

Fail minigame spawns easiest wave of belt rats for that system, each aditional fail in that site spawns a slightly more difficult wave to a max of 4 fails spawning the most difficult belt spawn for that system. One ship in each spawn has a point.
Easy to deal with, still workable for covops if they are good at the minigame and adds some threat and also an incentive to fly something more capable than a covops. |

Could that not be farmed by someone in a combat ship purposely failing the hack though? |

Ive always thought its dumb rats show up at relics (old system) but made sense they show up at datas to protect them.
So why not make Datas the old sites with rats that in nullsec you can do with Ishtars T3s or Stratios and then Relics you can just do in an Coverts op frig. |

Considering CCP nerfed data/relic sites into complete and utter worthlessness when they removed loot scatter, this isn't really something you have to worry about. In a couple more weeks, once the novelty of not having to play two minigames for a random chance at ISK wears off, no one is going to be running data/relic sites. The above was written and posted with nothing but love in my heart for all. |
