we could make them limited to 20 clones or something like that. maybe only 1 to a pos.
it would help worm holers a ton!
disallow jumping from wh to normal space as a balance. if you're in wh, then u can clone jump in that system alone. if in normal space, then maybe give it a range. this could help pos gunners.
i think it would be a kewl idea.
another balance idea is if the pos goes down, the clones die form lack of life support..
thoughts? |

This would make people able to live in 2 wormholes at the same time too easily.
I'm not a fan of expanding wormhole influence through mechanics like this.
It brings WHs closer to nullsec and as we discussed we want none of those SOV-like mechanics.

Acceptable only if it's limited to swapping out clones. You could create a clone, then switch to it at the POS, or swap to an already stored clone.

If this was to happen, I'd say you should only be able to jump from Station to POS, and not POS to POS to eliminate the ability to live in 2 wormholes at once. Or, only 1 per Corporation. |

well, the idea is that if its in a WH, you could only change in that WH, no jumping to other systems.
i dont want sov mechanics in WH either.
i was kinda thinking you would have to be in perosn. it would work like a station. if you have a clone there, you can switch to it, but it you leave, one gets waxed. but the mechanics would not allow jumping per se', just switching between 2.
like a combat clone and a mining boost probe. you get in one, strip a field, jump back into the 2nd and run the sites. the timer on clones would still apply as normal. |

There really is no need for this other then because you don't want to grind standings. You should not be able to JC to WHs, you can JC to any station in null that lets you install a clone and with standings you can put them through out high and low. The only bonus this would have is system without stations, which imo makes those systems more interesting. |

The only thing you can do about that one clone is swap it for a cheap one.

Nope. There is a reason you can't jump clone into the clone bay on a Rorqual whilst it's inside a WH. No jump clones in wormholes. |

The idea of a system local jump clone is intriguing. There are no gates or transmission links to hisec in wormholes, so you have to be physically present to switch. This would prevent people from being able to wake up in a WH clone after being podded, but it would allow you to store a clone with training implants for use when you're not online/not in active PVP. It wouldn't give wormholes any SOV mechanic, it would just allow people to hop into a training clone without having to go to hisec. Maybe not exactly a jump clone structure, but something that you can exchange your clones at the JC timer.

this. im not trying to break mechanics. but this is more the idea. you have to go up to the device and jump clone which means no clone jumping in and out of wh, nothing game breaking. just allowing switching locally. if i wanna put up a pos at the very bottom of the map and live away from stations and or people, i can hook up a pos, setup one of these, and switch clones there out of the pos. it wouldnt allow station jumping.
something like a "local clone storage facility". as i said, if i have a clone with warfare link and we fight the rats in wh, we can get into the clone and do battle. if we wanna mine, we can get in the mining clone and lead teams of miners.
nothing game breaking and one might loose their +5 implant clone if it gets attacked or runs out of fuel. |

so what your saying is you want to take away the choice of what implants you want to bring into a WH and bring them all. This is Eve, its all about choices. make a decision and stop trying to "have it all" with ideas like this. |

No one else gets to JC about, switching between combat clones, industry clones, training clones, fast warp clones, scanning clones or anything like that. So why should people that live in WH's be allowed the special privilege of being able to swap clones once a day instead of getting a small group together, opening a hole, establishing hole watch and then probing your way down the line to K-space? Wait.... I stopped holding my breath like a dumbass and when the oxygen got back to my brain I realized that people living in K-space are capable of all those things and more but it's not gamebreaking at all for them to jump clear across all of New Eden.
