Just frustrated about a 106% tax-rate. Export can be done by launch, but import is killed by such taxes. Tax-rate must be capped or PI is dead for more individual players (as 0-sec). I know it's a MMO, but just look where the bulk of activity is.... empire space. Blow up a POCO?.... 50 mil war bill+ POCO rebuild costs and probably defending it. No way it's profitable to do PI unless in a bigger corporation. So another aspect of this game is gone for me and i think alot of other players. |

Surprisingly, nobody cares about your insignificant, faceless self who absolutely refuses to work with other players to achieve greater means.
You can suck my 106% tax rate. My only regret... is that I cannot set it higher. |

You know, usually I'm fairly sympathetic to the little guy.
But you..... yeah... no.
It was a masterful stroke of being both whiny and having a massive sense of entitlement at the same time.
If they have POCO's set to 100% tax, go somewhere else. They obviously don't want you there. There's that whole depletion thing they prob don't want to have random pubbies messing up their planets with.
It's just one of those things you need to get over if you want to do solo PI in HS.
As for difficulty, don't whine. I do PI in a c5-c6 WH, on POCO's I hauled in myself and built. By myself.

Hey, maybe try setting up shop on a planet owned by someone who actually wants you there. |

figures, this kind of feedback. Ships are regularly rebalanced, as well as game-mechanics in the upcoming industrial overhaul. So i just think taxing must be balanced too. And for solo-play: iam an industrialist who build loads of **** which is traded with countless other players. So not everything is centered around massive fleet-battles and i certainly fuel some capitals and POS |

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia |

send a explicite mail to the ceo of corporation or alliance wich have the poco right and explain that : to set an exaggerated price for imports / export leading(driving) an exile of the consumers and that a planet empty of producer will bring back to them nothing ...
..except some new hostil ;)
so you can find a new system with more fair taxe and also check your skill for decrease npc part of taxe |

Plenty of planets have 12-15% tax rates if you look around.
It's entirely profitable to do PI outside of a massive corp. At worst you have to move a little. |

You're not supplying much of anyone if the thought of a wardec and building your own poco causes you to cry immeasurably as moths fly out of your wallet. |

Yes, moving to another planet, your not the only one with that advice, also, nice idea, contacting the CEO of the POCO involved earlier in this thread. But.... in terms of earning isk/hour mining/refining/hauling/producing and selling end-product... This whole network of industry is not relocated easy. But why relocate when quitting PI due to high taxes gives a better revenue then relocating? (in terms of isk/hour)....? I am a walking calculator and wanna fuel my alt with a plex each month to train it. So no activities with less or no revenues, just because i like them...(most of the time) |

Actually everything that really matters IS built around big fleet battles. If your an industy player, even if you have no presence in LS/0.0 you are contributing to both sides war efforts.
How?
Those 1,000 Hobgoblin drones you sold at Jita, those rigs you just sold, those minerals you just sold, that ammo you just sold. Most of it works it's way, eventually, into null sec and sov warfare in one way, shape or form.
People buy new ships because...their old one ent pop 90% of the time. To ensure that ship went pop, some other party made their ship tougher, stronger or just took advantage of a lucky situation. Either way he now needs to restock ammo...ding ding..you sold mmo. This player goes to null with your ammo and comes across a small fight, takes part and survives, goes deeper into null and encounters a big cap/super cap fight at a gate and decides 'screw it, I want some KM's ' and fires off at random caps hoping to get onto the KMs.
Ding ding ding...stuff you made was involved in a big fight in null.
EVERYTHING made in eve impacts all areas of the game, even if it's by the tiniest fraction of a percent, it has impact.
Now OT: The corp that holds that POCO charges that tax so suckers that use it make them money for zero effort. The real reason for a 100% tax rate is to stop non-corp/allies from depleating a very rich planet. Think of it as a cartel. Your not welcome, you know your not welcome and if you kick up a fuss you end up 6 feet under somewhere in the wilderness a short time later. |

Wow, just... wow. I can tell you don't get out of hisec much. Contacting POCO holders for standings (and thus lower tax rates) has been common practice in lowsec. Apply the same principles in hisec nowadays. Do this and you end up paying less then you would have paid in NPC tax under the old system. And yes, owning POCOs is for corporations, not for solo players, but still only requires some ISK and a couple of Attack Battle Cruisers. You can handle that with a small gang, you don't need a massive fleet. 100% safe PI for solo players in hisec is as dead as it needs to be. |

No, but you don't have to do it every day.

If you want to quit, then quit.
But don't whine that there are no options, there are, you've been given a couple. Many people, myself included, do PI in highsec and it's profitable. So you have to do some homework first (on where good planets with low tax are), big deal. |
