New expansion usually makes PLEX rise. But Kronos made it fall from 740 to 720.... Reasons?
And Nightmare tried to rise (seen him selling for 990M) but now it felt back to 900.... Reasons? The Mittani: "the inappropriate drunked joke"

They ran a plex sale right around the same time as the expansion release.
Nightmares were going up on speculation, and then went down because for what people use them for there's no real reason for them to get any more popular. Member of the Goonswarm Economic Warfare Cabal |

I'm rather annoyed at the Rattlesnake crash. On one hand it shows that people don't realize how awesome it has become... but that didn't make unloading the cache I had any more fun. Lost several billions. I don't expect it to go up again before it becomes one of the first battleships to be priced lower than its cruiser counterpart.

I sold a few at modest profits (mainly to free up capital) and am holding the rest of mine for now.
I paid 241m per BPC for my rattlesnakes, plus about 145m in minerals, so even if I sold at the current price I'd be up, but I suspect there are a number of players who like what the Rattlesnake does now but do not have the skills to make it shine. Like myself - I cannot fly a Rattlesnake at all, because while I have excellent drone skills and Gallente Battleship, my shield and missile skills are terrible and I do not even have Caldari BS injected.
I'm willing to hold them, but acknowledge that it's a risk and that I'd be ahead of my current position by ~2b if I'd dumped on buy orders on day 1 of Kronos release. Market PVP - you do not always win.
Edit: Back on PLEX - every sale drops the PLEX price. Me for example: i'm Gallente/Hybrid/Drone pilot. Old Snake worked well for me. New - won't. Because i have very "starter" missile skills. Maybe this is the reason Snake doesn't rise well.

I am not huge in fundamentals analysis but...
look at the calendar and outside the window... (expecially the date of this expansion vs the date of the previous ones) because that's an huge factor on EvE's population and thus on prices (in)ability to rise. Auditing | Collateral holding and insurance | Consulting | PLEX for Good Charity

Also it's not really getting lost in PVP much. Flying a battleship outside highsec is clunky to say the least. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=346564 - a proposal to overhaul the Logistics skill https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=238931 - an idea for a new form of hybrid PVE/PVP content. www.minerbumping.com - ganking miners and causing chaos |

I do not believe there is a major bubble in the PLEX economy at the moment. There is no shortage of people with both the means and the desire to pay 720m for 30 days of dual character training. While I know there must be people willing to pay USD35 for 1440m ISK, I don't see many people that do so regularly. Once offs 'as a leg up' or to recover from a devastating loss, yes, but once-off purchases of PLEX are unlikely to meet demand.
This is not to claim that PLEX will not cool off in price, but I do not see a disconnect between the present market prices and the prices that end users are willing to pay.

As someone who has farmed something north of 600 unique APIs, I must disagree. A scary amount of people sell plex regularly, and are just bad at managing their money in general. Once someone does sell plex, as well, it tends to be a very regular thing, with very many sales of plex. |

You should look the economic presentation from the fan-fest. That economy guy talked a fair bit about PLEX. Might make you change your mind if you listen what he is saying.
