This makes an already deadly platform even more scary and deadly. Hello Germany. :) Type 212 wikiType 214 wikiU36 (Type 212A) news link Old news link. but still a nice read.
And yet our glorious submersible fleet consists of only 4 (!!!) submarines. Now that's what I call elite small gang pvp. So NK has 5 times as many submarines as Germany- now the question remains if ours are really 5 times better than the Romeo class. Oh, on a related note, some years ago one modern German sub sank an US carrier in a simulation. While this sounds impressive at first glance, please note that the US have 2,5 as many active aircraft carriers (10) than we have submarines. Guess we should skip the next war, it's about time someone else creates emergent gameplay for the rest of the world...

All True. :)
To be fair, right now Germany simply does not need a lot of subs. And those things are helluvalot expensive. Not as much as a carrier ofc, but still.
Also, those subs are not limited to the 4 mile (or some such) engagement range mentioned earlier in this thread and they're even more undetectable than a D/E running on batteries.
And we're so god damn filthy rich that nobody even wants to be our enemy they want to be our friends so we can buy their sneakers, T-shirts and lead ladden teddy bears... Stupidity should be a bannable offense.

Recently I watched a documentary about the "German Submarine Consortium"- seems like organized crime has set foot into the submarine business here and uses them as weapons of economical warfare. They must have screwed Portugal out of hundreds of millions of $, entire regions there went bankrupt because of the deal, and the two submarines they got aren't even fit for service, yet devour millions in upkeep... EVE is real, I tell ya...

We're not mad enough to go all out pirate in small craft armed with pistols and bazooka leftovers from WWII. Stupidity should be a bannable offense.

It works pretty good, tons of mode for it as well to make it more difficult and realistic. Same with Silent Hunter 4, but I might be a bit biased with that one as I prefer driving the US fleet boats over U-boats. Grrr.

The American Naval Post Graduate School did a study of Littoral ASW with a hypothetical Australian attack on Tasmania.

Implying Goons are the only content creators...haha just kidding, of course they are. Well, I could of course tell you the whole truth about N@zi expatriates, Goons, the fake Moon Landing of 1969, the 9/11 conspiracy, the real Moon Landing of 1944, the whereabouts of MH370, chemtrails and Butterfingers, but I am not sure you can handle the truth....yet.

I keep trying to tell everybody, EVE is just a giant sociology experiment. Objectives: a) Observe the interactions of 21st century technophiles and other higher IQ fringe individuals; b) Observe the behaviors of individuals in First World countries in a semi-anarchical environment, in case the Maya or Viking calendar thing ever happens. Or the powers that be decide to make it happen. c) Cause various scum and sociopaths of the world to self-ID themselves, then track them and/or recruit them. d) Cause various market manipulation savants or scammers to self-ID themselves, then track them and/or recruit them. e) Observe the interactions of a population comprised of 95% males. But outside of a prison environment.
The question is, who contracted CCP to run this experiment?
