The current state of the Faction Warfare areas is pretty ugly, with a huge amount of WCS frigates semi-afk grinding LP without actually earning anything properly, or actually contributing to their side's war fleets. My proposition will hopefully increase the action around if implemented.
The complexes allow limits on what ships can be taken in, as well as areas to fight around, but are also very passive on how they grant LP. Therefore, instead of orbiting the beacon until a timer runs out to be rewarded, instead a timer could be implemented where the faction that gets the most kills will take that complex for the purpose of switching over sovereignty. The pilots involved would gain LP from a kill basis rather than from popping the site after orbiting it for a few mins. That way pilots are rewarded for pvp skills rather than being quick-ish on the warp button with a ship full of WCS!
Thoughts? Suggestions? |

While pretty much everyone agrees that the current system in unsatisfying and in need of improved mechanics I'm forced to agree with HiddenPorpoise that your proposal isn't really an improvement. |

Perhaps the beacon should act as a warp disruptor with a range set the more then the orbit distance for LP farming. Want the LP? You won't be warping out immediately then.... |

My recation as a FW player :
And then peoples will be on the limit of the warp bubble. Then when someone entering the plex to kill them, they will just move a bit, warp out and let the hunter alone in the plex because he will not be able to warp out , chasing the guy... Nope for me
There was already some change that improve the FW : no cloack in the range of capping / more large plexes/ more tank on npc / npc respawn. That makes wcs fregs ( with no or low dps ) less reliable to farm plexes. |

If FW is meant to be about PvP then why not imitate nulsec and require some structure to be erected in order to claim the system as taken?
It would take some hours to come online and claim the system, during which time the opposition can destroy it.
Only one could be erected in a system, so destroying the previous one is necessary. Give it enough HP and you have set the scene for a punch-up.
How to reward the faction for each system held. Debatable. I'd favour something based on the length of time spent in one of my faction's systems. Maybe faction LP accruing each full hour spent there while online? LP rewarded for being in the fleet that destroys the enemy's structure? Rewarded for being in the fleet that erected successfully and onlined a structure?
To change to this would require a structure appears in each system held by a faction; hardly a nightmare to implement. After downtime has finished it's "up and at 'em!"
Just the bones of an idea, but I think it has legs. |

Structure grinding has historically been despised by the EVE community, though a method of getting everyone around to one grid of one system is still a great idea.
I quite like the idea of the warp disruption effect - make it so you have to orbit the beacon within 10km (much less than now) and put a warp disruption effect out to 30km away. Therefore anyone wanting to flee must travel at least 20km whilst being chased. That way people will either fit very fast ships to do this (which can be countered by other fast ships) or fit for a fight! |

No need to create or ad specials things just
Deny acces to the plex if WCS is fitted to the ship -(they have the code already like with gate key in highsec missions).
Increase LP gain by killing ennemy militia ( 10 times as now if killed in Plex , 3times if anywhere else)
And reduce for god sake lp donation for tier upgrade.
Make NPC buy Faction stuff on the market at good price so to make money you try to have the higher tier NOT like now where you get more money when your faction's tier is lower :x RENAME WH systems With the name of REAL Universe Stellar Name like KOI-730 etc etc It will be awesome.
