I read many guides used some online tools and i have conlcuded on this. Me and my corp will need 100-130M isk per month for fuel And we will have 2 laboratories and on manufacturing that we want. My question is: to anchor the pos i need good personal standings with the faction or my corp has to have good standings ?
example: I have 2.5 with ammar empire and my corp has 0.97 with the ammar empire. Can i make my standings 5.1 and anchor for myself or do my corp has to reach 5.1 standing with the ammar and the anchor it ??

I think the next patch in a few weeks is supposed to do away with the stupid standing requirements for POS anchoring. |

to anchor a pos in high sec
---> your corp standing must be higher as 5.0 , to anchor i a 0.5 System. Corp standing is calculated from all Members
It tooks seven days, that the standing of a new joined member will be added |

Before July 22:
1. Decide where you are going to put the POS 2. Kick everyone from corp that has personal faction standings lower than 10x the security level of the system with the faction that owns the system (i.e. 5.0 Caldari for a 0.5 system in Caldari space, 6.0 for 0.6, or 7.0 for 0.7). It is not necessary to kick members that have NO personal standings with the faction. 3. Wait until after the next downtime. Faction standings of the corporation will increase to the average of all the members who have been in corp for > 7 days. 4. Rejoin kicked members to corp. You have 7 days to anchor POS towers before the standings drop again.
After July 22:
No standings are required, and you can now anchor POS in 0.8, 0.9, and 1.0 systems (but not Jita).

Only Jita? No Hek Dodixie and Amarr or any of the trade hubs? CBA to find it, but last dev post said only Jita. For server performance concerns. |

The area of space you're putting the POS has no affect on the type of POS IIRC, although a shiny POS may attract undesired attention. As above the standings mechanic is changing which makes my lucrative sideline of selling corps with POS standings obsolete
Time to look for another mechanic I can leverage my standings against for extra income

You can put any race/faction POS tower in any race/faction's space. The fuel will need to match the race/faction of the tower, and the starbase charters will need to match the race/faction of the space.

Regarding the cost for upkeep on the POS, a small isn't too expensive. 15 minutes of mining a day will pay for it.
Find a quiet system, though, because many populated systems have no moons available. As well, before you put up your tower, check the kill history in the system, and look for tower kills. At a meager cost of 50m ISK, it's worth it to Dec a small corp for their tower, just to see if anything drops. Sometimes, you can ransom the tower as well, if the group doesn't pull it down. Ransoms are accepted in Isk, Ships, Mods, and Dolls. |

Abrazzar wrote:Will a small tower full of White Noise discourage wardecs? With a small tower you are pretty limited in what you can have online at once. If you are using the POS for the reasons you anchored it, most defense modules, if you have any, will have to be offline. That means you have to be ready to online them within the 24 hour notice you'd have for a wardec.
The other option is to forget about defenses and just take the tower down in case of war. Or leave up just the tower with nothing to loot and risk the loss to possibly save the spot. The July changes should make it easier to find moons, and you won't have standings to worry about when replacing the tower.
