Well I gotta agree with my boss's opinion. Not only cause she's my boss but because I actually agree with it. I remember when we went to Amarr together just recently, she was modelling one of the new dresses to the local populace n' talking up her campaign to change CONCORD's public dress standards which forbid capsuleers from exposing their legs in public.
All the locals thought she looked amazin' in her dress, pretty much proving that refined fashion taste is alive and well in Amarr.
I dunno about "ethnic" Amarrian stuffs. But I don't think it's good to say that Amarrians have bad fashion sense because their traditionalists still wearing that funny stuff. I'm not a big fan of covering myself up too much unless I'm really cold. But unlike my boss I'm not into dresses though, she says I'm a "tomboy" cause I prefer a good sturdy pair of pants and a top that allows me lots of movement cause I'm always workin'. Thank you for your concern but no. I do not intend to reply to anything Diana kim says; I have found that the best way to deal with her and those like her.
I am merely reminding her on the only common communication channel we share of her agreement now that she has broken it. She will either fulfill it or I will go hunting for her.

There's no reason to carry any of these with you on a daily basis.
Though in regards to the point you were trying to make of where do you keep things you are bringing with you when wearing clothing without pockets (or with only small pockets), you use a purse. |

I actually carry all those on a daily basis. There's no telling when I might run into a broken machine during my daily walks or when I need to demolish the door into my quarters, assuming that the vents are inaccessible.
But yes. You carry a purse. Won't that either burden or make unusable one of your hands? Isn't it better to have both hands free?

And belts, yes. Inefficient use of body space right there. Distribute the weight evenly, why don't you? You are bound to run out of space for rivet magazines if you cram everything onto your belt. |

Perhaps I was too harsh in my reasoning then.
I had a fairly conservative upbringing, and where I'm from, if you went around wearing clothes that highlighted your assets (and this goes for men and their packages too) it implied that you were too easy of a catch and not worth the time. Obviously, that doesn't apply to the rest of New Eden, and clothing alone doesn't define a person, so I'll respect your thoughts and views on the matter.
Erica Dusette wrote:You've obviously never tried removing leather pants three sizes too small from either yourself or another, have you sir?
Give it a try. Pretty sure you'll be left with quite the opposite conclusion as to what you have now.
I have. Not leather of course, but they were still fairly uncomfortable to walk around in, so I'll agree that removing them was enjoyable enough. As my past romantic interests never wore such clothing, I'll have to take your word on it for that.

You can put a purse down if you need to use both hands. Purses are also a fashion accessory themselves. And you can usually carry more in a purse than you could even in cargo pants. The only better thing would be a backpack, but those are not as broadly usable as a fashion accessory as purses are (purses can work for formal meetings, backpacks can't).

Backpack is great idea. Especially when mixed with a jumpsuit or a jacket and cargo pants with deep pockets. Very utilitarian. |

It's actually easier with leather pants intended for cold climates, as you can simply have the damn things fur-lined or lined with some other material. The trick then is getting them off inside a sleeping bag or other such device without overheating yourself due to the exertion! "You let one of them go, but that's nothing new is it? Every now and then a little victim is allowed to escape; because she smiled, because he's got freckles, because they begged. And that's how you live with yourself. That's how you slaughter millions." Why wouldn't you just use basic smart materials, skintight when desired, loose when you need them to be, textures and colours interchangeable etc etc? Static clothing is barely one step from banging the rocks together as far as I'm concerned. Doesn't even provide thermal and kinetic protection unless you walk around wearing bloody armor. Prime Node. Ask me about augmentation.

*sigh* True enough. It's a dull job at the best of times and almost anything that lightens the dull sameness of it is a welcome sight.
Tight leather pants are also good, although you won't be able to smuggle anything IN them. "You let one of them go, but that's nothing new is it?
