One piece of advice I give to people is to just pay attention to what you are doing in this game, don't ever become a monkey just pushing buttons. I quote this statement above because it is a solid starting point but it is more complex than some people realize, especially the newer folks. Let's say you are selling trit for example and there is a buy order of 6.10 up while the lowest sell price is 6.20, you would think the obvious thing to do is put your trit on the market at 6.19. In a lot of cases, this is not what you should do if you want maximum income. If you will sell to the buy order you will make more money because the fees are lower. Just make sure when you sell to the buy order that your sell window is on the "basic" rather than "advanced" setting as it reduces the fees. Also, keep in mind that your trade skills and standings will close the spread in this situation.
Paying attention to things like this can be a difference of millions in income on a large transaction. Over hundreds of transactions there is a compounding effect that will greatly affect your wallet. |

It is easy to become multi-billionaire in EVE when you don't have a job outside of EVE. |

"I simply wonder how those guys make so much ISK ?" - OP
@OP
There are all kinds of ways to make ISK in EvE as you know, and after almost 9 years in game I've probably tried most of them. Creativity is key, variety is important to keep it fun, and it takes time to get rich.
I've mined ore and ice, traded, missions, pirate hunting, bounties, different types of production, planet bases, exploration, PvP, and various other activities. I've also put alts on the Character Bazaar as well. I've lived in high, low, whiskey, and null sec.
Speaking of creative I'll share one tidbit. One time I made a few hundred million ISK from a shuttle playing a two week old character. In my defense, even though I have done some nefarious things in the past, I never stooped so low as resorting to Jita spam scams or corp theft. I have standards.
I'm not a trillionaire yet, but I've done well over the course of my time in EvE. Daniel Zehn Keeper of Evil Frosty

I wish making real money was as easy as making ISK.
The biggest difference is in EvE you start off with a ship, tools, and 5K ISK. In real life, the vast majority of us start off with absolutely nothing.
The old thought is true... it takes money to make money. At least in EvE you start off with an education, a ship, and a bit of cash. Same with monopoly. Daniel Zehn Keeper of Evil Frosty

When I was doing PI, I was earning 3.2 billion per month with 3 characters.
There are many ways to earn ISK in EVE. Ideally you need to find one you like, so it isn't a grind, or less of one. |

One thing people often overlook when trying to work out their NAV (Net Asset Value) is the value of their characters. Every alt you own is worth something, even relatively low SP characters (as long as the value exceeds the cost of the 2 plex transfer fee). Even if your wallet/assets only show modest amounts you might be sat on a character worth 50-100b (or several) depending on how long you've been playing. Fair enough, a lot of people are attached and would never sell their characters, but that doesn't mean you should ignore them as assets. TO THE RIPARDMOBILE! |
