Hello o/
I wanted to bring up this idea which perhaps has been brought up before. Or at least the idea of training skills and managing the skill queue while offline. What if EVEmon would be able to populate our skill queue the way we want it populated with our current selected plan for a character? There are so many busy folks today in this world who don't always have the time to log into the game and manage their skills to make sure they are always training.
I also think it would be great to be able to do this if I was just playing other games, or doing other things instead of actively engaged with the community. That way when I come back I have a new ship, module, or something else to look forward to :)
What do you think? Or has this been brought up and answered a bizzillion times before? |

Has been discussed many times before. Common agreement:
No
Like with most ideas they can always be narrowed down to a few base concepts, those are:
Skills for currency (buy, faster train etc.. always ends up pay to win) Skill remap (no matter at which interval, invalidates brain remaps, implants, plans, committing, playing a character instead of an account) Extending the skill cue (remote managing, expanded cue, skill bundles etc ... CCP wants players to log in and rightly so, it won't happen. The cue was only established to overcome odd day/night times to enter a new skill).
So, yes has come up, won't happen. Are you sure your issues aren't elsewhere ?! |

They do realize all I have to do for an entire year is park this character at a station and just log into it to train the skills I want and then log back off? I wouldn't even be in the game really just sitting in a hangar unless I needed to buy a skill which I could easily do before I park it if I had a preset skill plan laid out. Or I could also just buy in the region and have it shipped to me.
Doesn't really do anything for the game if I am not playing it for awhile. |

Kind of the point. They want you to play the game, not play pokemon with your "toon" through a third party app. Wait, CCP kills kittens now too?!-á - Freyya

The key is you're still logging in, which keeps the daily player login count up, which makes the investors happy. MAMBA is recruiting. -áWhen other folks are whining about a lack of content, we go out and create it. The case of Shrodinger's Hotdropper |

I see so they are afraid how dead the game might look if everyone can just train up skills without logging into it to do so. That in turn would make the investors freak out and wonder if EVE was 'dying' and the stock price or isk price might dive? |

Terrible idea, and it reeks of entitlement.
Log in to train your skills. Things are only impossible until they are not. |

It is about convenience and has nothing to do with entitlement. I don't even see how you made that connection. |

"It is about convenience" is the first step on the slippery slope to cash shops and PLEX for Skillpoints. Things are only impossible until they are not. |
